Alyana listens carefully to Papa Lazarou, with a strong compassionate look in her eyes. She is about to start speaking when Illumian speaks and she smiles. Don't you love the way he speaks? Pure poetry! So enlightning!
She takes Davina's hand and continues Having a safe home to raise the young ones is a crtitical mission for any parents. We will go check Haverbrook and let you know if it safe of not. Corellon Larethian has made our path cross and we will help you. What else can you tell us about Haverbrook? Any legend, stories or rumors that could help us prepare for it?

Avantiif turns to Alyana with a humble smile, and shakes his head slightly. "I merely speak what rhymes I muster and any of my verses' luster are like the flame of torches burning: the light is just the fire's earning." he answers her, before turning back to the man that gave them the explanations with a shorter, "As for your problem, my dear man. We will deliver what we can."

Alyana gives a really BIG smile at Avantiif and whispers to Taliea ' I adore listening to him. If I am not careful, I am going to melt. Make sure I do not do something stupider than usual "

Theodorre, standing inthe rear of the group, leans over to Alyana, "Easy now delicate one, don't get your feathers too ruffled." he says with his charming disarming smile.

Alyana smiles at Theo. Enough bumbling wizard! Please do not turn your charms on me. I said I would not do anything stupid, even if you are likely worth it.

Lone Wolf says nothing, but takes a slow deep breath, the edges of his mouth twitching in their threat to bring him to a full-fledged grin.

Alyana notices Lone Wolf's failed attempt at containing his smile. Not you too, Lone Wolf. Why is this happening to me? Why can't I be adventuring with dwarves and half-orcs? I need to pray extra hard or something stupid will happen soon ....

Taliea giggles at Alyana's comment about Avantiif's speech. "Yes, it is quite charming," she whispers. But he's kind of... old, she keeps the thought to herself. "I'm sure you could do a lot worse than Avantiif," the Ranger adds, hoping to make Alyana feel better.

Alyana nods at Taliea. You are right, he is kind of old by his voice is a melody of sounds and sensation. This is why I need you to stop me before I do something stupid, even by my standards.
She smiles at her friend, wondering what adventure they will face soon.

Papa Lazarou looks quite taken in by Avantiif's sudden outburst of poetry - he looks captivated. He and Davina are both very relieved that they have found a team willing and presumably able to help them.
Davina looks at Alyana's hands which have clasped her own, and then to the elf's eyes. She seems to be appealing to Alyana, "I'm afraid we have very little information, Alyana. Haverbrook was a fairly closed community and it was some time before anyone even realised anything had happened." The tone of her voice is quite worried but she continues, "There were no bodies." Her voice is shaky and she pauses.
Lazarou goes on, "We have of course asked around about the incident but we have been unable to learn much more than Davina has told you. It is quite a mystery. Everyone disappeared - a couple of hundred people. There were signs of struggle, but no bodies."
Sensing an unspoken question, Papa Lazarou adds, "In terms of payment, there is little we can offer unfortunately. We are tradespeople so we can offer you good that can be exchanged." He looks at the five of you again. "We could give you horses."

Alyana shakes her head. 'No need for payment. Knowing that your little one have found a safe home is good enough for me. We might borrow horses to speed up our traveling time but we will return them to you..
She turns to the group "So gang, what is the plan?

Taliea waits to see if anyone comes up with any plans. After a couple of minutes of silence, she says, "Does anyone want to buy any extra supplies for the journey? We could take a detour if necessary. Any other suggestions about how to tackle this problem?"

His face looking both pleased and relieved, Papa Lazarou sends one of the merchants to bring you each a horse. While he is waiting for the man to return he continues to talk. "As I said, it's less than half a day on foot. With the horses you could make it in a couple of hours, so there'll still be plenty of hours of daylight once you reach Haverbrook." He glances at the sun - it's currently a little after midday. He gives you the directions and tells you how to look after the horses, most of which you presumably already know but politely endure.
The heroes mount their respective horses and set off on their way, Taliea taking the lead (unless anyone objects) urging the horses to a gentle trot.
A pleasant breeze accompanies you on your way, the grass swaying gently in it. The heroes habitually keep their senses alert while on the road, but as it turns out there is little need as the roads you take are quiet today and you encounter no more than local wildlife.
Presently you see a town in the distance. As you are making good speed it is upon you quickly. Once you are close to the outskirts of Haverbrook, Taliea suggests tying up the horses somewhere secluded and continuing on foot.
