Pointing towards the woods, the woman explains, "He went there, and just took the animals with him however he could. He came back a few times, too. Quite the sight it was, when he was struggling with all those chickens."
In the multitude of tracks on the streets of the village makes it impossible to find or identify any tracks.

Theo looks to where the woman points and is ready to locate the dwarf, thinking it might be easier to track him once they get away from the town.

Alyana thanks the lady. She turns to the group "Well we have a lead. Let's follow it. Hopefully Taliea will have be able to pick a trail somewhere. "
She unbelt her mace and start moving towards the direction pointed to by the farmer, closing the march.

Taliea follows the other, ready to once again try and track the Wizard's apprentice once they get closer to the woods.

With Theo being a wizard, he thinks back to his training to try and figure out what the apprentice could be wanting all the livestock for. Theo walks behind the others, so the ranger can do her work.

"You know," Barrend muses, breaking silence for the first time in what seems like months, "It could just be that he has a large appetite." He attempts to assist Taliea in finding and following the apprentice's trail when they get to the woods

The woods start rather abruptly, close to the last of the houses. Under the long shadows of the trees, despite the relatively early hour, life has already awakened and the calls of various birds can be heard. As the adventurers step into the forest, preceded by their elongated shadows, most of the tracks vanish, with only those of the apprentice and his animals remaining visible in the wet ground.
Track rolls, please.

Theodorre watches the birds, loving nature, he has a small sense of things that happen in the forests, although not nearly like a druid. If the wizard feels the birds seem agitated, he suggests they head in that direction.
if this is needed. knowledge (nature): 1d20(13)+3=16

Alyana moves next to Theo. "I remember how infatuated with birds you were the first time I met you. You were so eloquent about them. What happened to you? "
She tries to help Taliea but fails miserably: Aid Another: 1d20 = 2

Taliea is glad to notice the wet ground, "this makes my job easier", she grins, at no-one in particular, and stoops to get a better look, also noting the direction in which the tracks seem to be heading.
Survival 1d20+5=21 (I did roll again, just happened to get the same result as last time). Spot as well if it helps 1d20+6=8

The tracks are easy to follow. They lead into the forest, deeper and deeper, while the sun climbs in the sky behind them. For a few hours, they move on unhindered, in the pleasant and peaceful environment of the trees. Suddenly, on the spot where the next footprint should have been of the boots the followed dwarf is heading, instead stand a boulder. And there are no more footprints. It's not particularly high, just a bit taller than the adventurers, but the surprising thing is, there seems to be a wall of them erected here. It continues to the right for a few hundred meters. To the left, it goes on for maybe a hundred, maybe 110 meters, and then turns, continuing parallel to the direction in which the group has been traveling so far.

Alyana is perplex. Why would anyone build a wall in the middle of the forest? Can one of you climb to see what is on the other side?
She looks around to see if she can spot something.

Alyana sees nothing but the remotely teeth-like wall of seemingly natural rocks... well, except for their wall-like position. She even spots a squirrel appears in vision for a moment, gives the group a terrified glare and vanishes into the rocks.

"Well, climb over and continue on?" Theo asks the group. Finally the half-elf tries to climb up onto the boulder to have a look.

Alyana ponders the strange rock "It is weird. It looks like a humongous mouth and the boulders are teeth. Interesting scuptlure. I doubt any being could be this big .... "
When she sees Theo struggles, she giggles and helps him. (Aid AnotherL 1d20 = 14). As she pushes him up, she squeezes his butts for firmness and winks at him if he looks at her.
