The moment he appears atop the slightly rounded and considerably slippery (roll balance) surface of the rock at his very first try, he hears a snarl, and a wolf raises its bloodied muzzle from an amorphous heap, apparently a heap of flesh, half concealed behind and in a nearby bush.
Growling, it shows its reddened teeth and its fur is raised. The animal slightly bends its front legs and stares at Theo with its pale yellow eyes.

When Theo finally succeeds in climbing the rock, Alyana asks "Wizard, what is on the other side?"

OOC: Taliea's waiting for a response from Theo before acting.

Finally getting atop the boulder, Theo steadies himself, and slowly rises to his full height, once he does, he hears the growl of the predator. He quickly raises his gaze to the sound and spots the wolf, forgetting he's on top of the boulder, he instinctively takes a step back, losing his balance and falling off the back off the boulder, back to his friends, "WOLF!" he cries, pointing to the top of the rock, where he just fell from. Once he lands, he shouldn't be injured too badly, he rolls towards the boulder, in case the wolf leaps the barrier, he won't land on the wizard.

Alyana gets ready to fight, morningstar ready and shield raised.

[She-Elf]

Being especially adept at dealing with animals, the Ranger has her composite longbow out in no time ready to attack if the wolf makes it over. If not, she'll ask for a leg up to attack from the top of the rocky outcrop.

[Ilya]

The adventurers prepare themselves to fend off a wolf attack, but this attack never comes. On their side, everything stays nice and peaceful.

Theodorre gets up and dusts himself off. "There's a large wolf eating on a carcass, right over there. Did you not hear it growl at me?", he says as he points in the direction and gives the approximate distance, between wiping dirt and grass of his clothes.

Alyana looks at Theo and Talea. " The wolf is on the other side of this "wall". We all need to climb it and be ready to jump and engage unless we take it out with arrows. Before we do that we need to make sure the wolf is a threat. "

She will take 20 (or 10) on the climb to the top of the rocks.

"It looked postured to jump. It may be too preoccupied with eating." He walks up to where two boulders meet, trying to peer through where the large rocks start distancing themselves.

Are the boulders round, if so they'll only touch inthe midle, then as you move up and down, the curvature seperates them. Can they see anything in that space, if there is a space.

[Ilya]

No wolf can be seen through the very narrow gap between two boulders, but the spot where the wolf was isn't visible, either. Alyana begins climbing the rocks. Her head reaches over the rock's top. However, the wolf is nowhere to be seen from her rather uncomfortable position mid-climb, either.

Alyana tells the other what she sees as the continues climbing "I cannot seem to see the wolf. It has either left or is hiding and ready to pounce. But we have to continue because this is the way the apprentice went.

[She-Elf]

"OK, let's all climb over then. At least that way, if we come across any wolves there'll be three of us."
Assuming the others agree, Taliea begins climbing up the rocks.

Along with the others, Theodorre starts to climb a boulder also. He hesitates only slightly as he looks for a nearby tree to assist him.
