Taliea shrugs and then says, "Let's see what we can find to line our pockets - those of us who have pockets." She takes her time looking around hoping to find copious amounts of shiny things.
Take 20 to search, if I may - total=25

Still concentrating on his spell, after the appropriate time has passed, Theo lets the others know of his findings.

After searching the area thoroughly, the heroes discover that the dwarf doesn't have a lot of stuff in here. Apart from a large pile of feathers, some animal droppings and some blood stains, the part reserved for animals is empty. After a thorough pilfering of the closet, all that can be found are two backup robes, one of which appears to be quite thoroughly torn, an apron, and a little box. But the box is valuable indeed. Not only is it itself of masterful craft, but it also contains some rather interesting items. A bag of fine, sparkling dust, which upon closer inspection turns out to be made of diamonds sits beside seven other diamonds of varying size and colour. In a neat stack, a few plaques of ivory are stacked, cut into interesting shapes. Either the Dwarf had money left, or too much free time. A couple of small nuggets of gold sit in the corner of the box, too humble for such a noble metal. In the corner of the cavern, in a short corridor, stands a fascinating table. Its surface is flat, like a mirror, but entirely black. Something tells you, however, that the blackness hides something.
The arcanist, in the meantime, realises a few things: the magic flowing through the rocks largely comes from the abyss containing the rather disgusting substance. It is focused towards the pulsating lines of the ceiling, like blood being pumped through them like through veins. And then, a finer effect is superimposed on the thick flows of magical energies: the magic: small currents, coming from the direction of the table -and though he cannot see it, it appears probable that it is connected to that table- seem to bind and control the flow of energy through the cavern around. It is alm-
Your thoughts are interrupted. The web spell ends its working, and with a loud splash, it crashes into the liquid. The dead dwarf begins sinking into the green liquid, his flesh darkening like by fire as it touches that substance.
Oh, how falling into it would be a bad idea... which means the Cleric doesn't have much time to get back, if she wants to.
I assume you're taking 20 on your Search and looking through the whole area, which should take about eight or ten minutes...

Alyana takes the box and brings it to the edge of the chasm 'I think we will be well compensated
She get herself ready to jump but hesitates. That table is really intriguing her. She approaches the table and takes a twig or a rock and throw it on the black mirror like surface.

Like it would on a mirror, the rock bounces off, skipping on the smooth surface, as it would on a mirror. Alyanna notices the table also has a drawer, which she has not looked in yet. Somewhere, a deep rumble rolls...

The curiosity is taking a hold on her. She has food the diamonds and the powder and should run away. But there is something about the table that fascinate Alyana. She looks at the drawer and the curiosity wins. She slowly opens the drawer (Assuming it is not locked)

Taliea moves in beside Alyana, watching the events unfold and knowing they need to flee. She tries to glance in the drawer as the Cleric opens it ready to grab anything valuable and then hurry Alyana along to make a quick getaway.

Taliea asks Theo if she's not too late for one of his "Jump" spells.

The drawer holds a stack of parchment, which appears to have something scribbled on it. It appears to be written in Dwarven at first glance, but a second look shows that while the letters are Dwarven, what passes for words is simply gibberish in that language. The rumbling continues, and from somewhere, you suddenly hear a scraping.

Alyana cannot make no sense of the parchment but she does not speak Dwarwen so it is not a surprise. May be the magical research will be worth something ... so she grab all the reasearch.
She thinks there is more to the desk than just beeing a desk so she raises her mace and make it fall on the mirror like surface and wait for the reaction.

Thanking Theo for the magical assistance, the Ranger takes a running leap across the chasm to aid Alyana.

With the surface smashed to bits, for a moment, you all see the magical flows only Theodore could see before it: the entire cave seems cloaked in a blue-green, flowing light for a few moments, and then the effect disappears as quickly as it came. Then suddenly, the entire room jerks sidewards. Not like an earthquake, which would also cause vertical movement, but rather like a carriage that suddenly started, yanking the floor from under your feet.
I've figured it out now. All roll Spot and Balance! Oh, and with the spell, Taliea can't not make her jump, so let's just assume she did get to our Cleriarian in time to move beside her and watch things.

Taliea looks all about her as the room seems to move suddenly, struggling to keep her balance as she does so.
Spot 1d20(8)+6=14 Balance 1d20(15)+4=19
