Alyana is on the wrong side of the chasm Darn! What will we say to his master? I hope he will still pay us! I need gold to buy the equipment I lost to the rust eater and the acid blob. I feel naked because I am. Can someone come join me on this side? And Theo, please keep your head up!
Alyana looks around but spots nothing (Spot 1d20 +? = does not matter as I rolled a 2)

"I don't think he would have told us anything useful - he seemed like a complete lunatic," Taliea says, putting away her bow.
She moves to the edge of the chasm and looks down.
In response to Alyana's remark she says "Hmm, well we could tell the master that he was dead when we found him?"

Taliea points to the ceiling where a couple of lines have started to pulsate faintly and although slowly, the pulsating seems to be gradually speeding up.
"Umm, that does not look good..."
I don't think Knowledge of Geography or Nature will help much here. Knowledge of Arcana anyone?

Looking up with the others, Theo explains how the shapes form some kind of geometrical shape, but it's beyond him.
He turns to Alyana, who still stands close to the dwarf, "Hey, look where his blood is dropping into that slime. It's having some kind of reaction."
"Hmm, what was it the dwarf said would happen when he dies."
Not liking how the situation is looking, Theo yells out, "Alyana, grab those swords and get back over here! Let's get out of here!"

Taliea worries that the slime might take on a life of its own given its reaction with the blood. She hopes Alyana is quick enough to pick up the swords, so the party can make a swift exit.
