Stadvas does not like the two open sarcophagi. He looks but luckily for him, nothing come after him, at least for the moment. He walks toward Ryxikor and indicates that there seems to be only two sarcophagi open. Augustine has the same idea and is worried about the open coffins. Miriam looks at the heroes “Now it makes sense. The King and Queen were betrayed by the First Knight. By where are they now?” She looks again at the group and adds ”How about we close the doors and continues?” Her call is not answered as Odlin enters the room with the large mirror. He looks at the mirror and freezes.
OOC: Cal, I need a Will save for Odlin. Add + 2 because he is good and +2 if he is Lawful.

Ryxikor stands at the door, he slowly walks into the room, looking at the sarcophagi. He doesn't like the huge mirror, it must be the strangest thing he has seen in these ruins since he started adventuring. He tries to appraise the worth of the rubies.
appraise: 1d20(3)+2=5 appraise: 1d20(16)+2=18 appraise: 1d20(3)+2=5
Edit for Achinca and Cal: That is why I prefer to write out my rolls like: 1d20(12)+4(lawful good)=16

Stadvas watches Odlin freeze when he looks at the mirror and considers throwing something at it to break it.

Odlin face turns white as he faces the mirror. In his mind, he is reliving his the worst deed he ever perpetrated or the worst failure ever to befall on him, the destruction of his clan and the death of his brother. When he looks back at the rest, he is shaken.
Ryxikor slides in the room and tries to avoid the mirror but the magical attraction of the mirror is too strong and he looks at it and freeze.
Stadvas, Augustine and Miriam stay outside the room, each wondering what to do next. The warrior ponders destroying the mirror.
Map: Same as before
OOC: Cal, Odlin is shaken for the next 24 hours. OOC: Puff, I need a Will save for Ryxikor. Add +2 if he is Lawful. I know he is neutral.

"I wonder if this mirror is punitive? Perhaps I have gotten off lightly?"
The wizard wonder if they should investigate the closed coffins but decides against upsetting resting remains.
"Let's go," he volunteers. The dwarf moves close to Stadvas with his club and scroll of burning hands ready.

With a smile on his face, Ryxikor starts towards the lids of the coffins. As he wonders how much the large rubies could be worth, he can't help but look at the large ominous mirror.
1d20=19, no bonuses

Ryxikor is confident as he faces the mirror but he suffers the same fate as Odlin, relieving his worst deed, the one thing in life he wished he would be able to do over. A chill goes through his spine and he looks a little hunched. It is obvious that neither him nor Odlin are feeling particularly proud of themselves now. The rogue looks at the gems and they look like real rubies. He is not sure if they are purely decorative of if they are preventing something from getting out.
Odlin suggests the groups moves forward and Miriam openly agrees.
OOC: Puff, Ryxikor is shaken.

"Come on," Augustine says, "Leave the gems. There's enough magic and money here that something is sure to be rigged up to trigger if we take anything."
I suddenly get a vision of those rubies turning to fireball spells. Doubt they would do anything that mean, since this isn't the Tomb of Horrors, but let's be cautious. Besides, our characters swore we weren't going to rob the graves, right?

"Agreed. We better get going." Stadvas says. After seeing the effects of the mirror, and already unnerved by the open sarcophagi, he decides whatever riches are here aren't worth the risk.

Shaken by the vivid memories, Ryxikor is able to pull himself together and leave the room. He lightly moves odwn the steps to the next door. He gently places his ear to the door, trying to discern any noise he can. He then checks to see if the door is trapped.

Odlin and Ryxikor, shaken by their experience with the mirror listen to the rest of the group, especially Augustine and Stadvas and decide to keep going. Miriam closes the door and let a sigh of relief as no blood was shed in this part of the tomb. Ryxikor does not hear anything and find the door unlocked and cannot find a trap. Ryxikor opens the door and see a corridor. Soft light illuminates this corridor from no single point. There is more intricate design work on the north and south walls, but no dust, no webs, and no signs of age or weathering. The passage turns north ahead and finish with stairs. Stairs that descend here are gradual and smooth, and the ceiling above stays at the same height as the corridor, despite the descent. Purple curtains that glitter with gold tracery cover a tall opening to the west at the stairway's base. The passage also continues to the east on the other side of a similar curtain. On the wall facing the base of the stairs is a huge painting that depicts a tall, dark-haired man sitting on an opulent throne. He wears a golden crown and frowns darkly.

Once they reach the bottom of the steps and see the room with tapestries at both ends, Ryx wonders if a door could be hidden behind one of them. Holding the short sword in his left hand, the elf reaches out carefully with his right and gently moves the curtain aside just a little bit, enough for him to see what maybe behind it.
