Ryxikor opens the curtain and sees the following: a patterned floor and marble walls gleam in the magical light. They appear polished and unmarked by age. To the northwest he sees the statue of amounted warrior, his sword held high in the air. A narrow passage continues eastward along the north wall.

Odlin notices the unusual appearance and warns the elf that it might be a trap. The wizard keeps an eye on the mounted statue in case it might animate

Stadvas walks to the other curtain and checks for any passages behind that.

Augustine keeps his weapon at the ready in case any threats appear from behind the curtains.

Odlin, still shaken and remembering things he would not want to remember tell Ryxikor that the place might be a trap. The rogue, who is showing much less swagger than usual, agrees. Stadvas moves towards the south curtain and opens it. Augustine is behind him, ready for anything. Miriam is next to the warrior, ready to protect him if needed. As the curtain is moved, a large room with glossy stone floor and marble walls appears. Patterns on the floor and walls shine in the magical light. To the southwest, the group sees the statue of a mounted warrior, his horse's front hooves kicking at the air. East of that statue, along the southern wall, are two iron coffers. A large dais and a jewel-encrusted throne are set against the east wall. Sitting on the throne is a handsome, clean-shaven man who has a powerful build, his raven locks spilling from beneath a golden crown onto the pauldrons of his fine plate armor and violet cloak. Sheathed blades lean on either side of his fine chair. As the heroes look on, he opens his dark eyes and frowns. " Who would disturb the rest of the king?" he asks in a deep voice.

Augustine turns and looks at Ryxikor, trying to give the image of someone waiting for orders, when in fact he is waiting for their more silver-tongued member to speak.
Wait a minute... where are the grave robbers? We saw their tracks and a corpse in the spider room, then we went into the series of rooms with the crypts, right? So where did they go?

Odlin's sense of righteousness burns within him "No King, only an usurper!" Like Augustine, the wizard tries to determine where the tombrobbers are

Hearing the words of Odlin, Ryx turns questioningly, after Odlin and Augustine tell Ryx what is going on, he asks, "I thought we agreed from the paintings on the walls earlier, that the king had blond hair and the queen red. Wasn't the black haired man a knight or something. Whats he doing?"
He stares at the floor wondering what the different colors mean, wondering if he could animate the statue perhaps if he steps wrong in the wrong place. He looks and tries to figure it out, and figure out any kind of trap.

"Passing through." Stadvas says to the self-proclaimed 'king', walking in and casting a quick look around to see if there's a door or something similar in the walls.
Spot check: 1d20+1=2+1=3 Oh.

The dark haired man wearing a crowd was civilized until he hears Odlin call him an usurper “ Who dares contest my right as a king. You will pay for that comment” He howls " Now you shall share my pain. Knights, to arms!"The statue of the mounted figure in the corner changes to reveal a lance-bearing skeletal warrior atop a skeletal horse. A clatter from the passage to the west suggests more trouble. There is no sign of an exit and there is no sign of the tomb robbers nor Jukia. The group wonders where they are but have no time to look for it as the proverbial S has hit the fan. Initiative please
OOC: This is a place where valuable information can be gathered via diplomacy or other tactful comments. However, questioning this maddened character immediately turn to combat to death. So time for skill check really. Good job Cal as you played Odlin well. Miriam will fill you in assuming you are still alive at the end.

Initiative: Enemies (action stopped here), Stadvas, Ryxikor, Odlin, Miriam, Augustine The heroes, realizing that weaseling their way out of a fight in not an option anymore get ready for the fight. Miriam yells at the dark haired man “ You are no king! You are a usurper that killed the real king. I know you are nothing more than a traitor” As he hear these words, the dark hair man eyes go insane “ you will be the first one to suffer, you evil witch. I will make you feel my curse the way the one before you felt it. You are not as pretty as her but you feel her pain regardless. I love to hurt pretty things” Leaping to his feet, the man on the throne draws his blades and descends from the dais. As he does, the bejeweled throne fades into a plain stone seat. The man's hair withdraws under the crown, and his skin grays and runs, revealing bone and muscle beneath. His armor sags and corrodes, seemingly grafting to his distended flesh along with the crown, which has lost all luster. Lidless, his eyes burn with madness. Round 1 begins A fuse mounted skeleton (horse and skeleton are one) appears from the north. The skeleton is holding a lance and has a sword handy. It will be ready to engage next round. The mounted skeleton from the south moves forward and attacks Ryxikor Augustine with its lance. Although the elf rogue is quite nimble, he is not nimble enough to avoid the sharp point which nearly pierces his heart. The creature that used to look like the raven hair man moves toward Miriam and attacks her with his two swords. The bastard sword cuts the cleric deeply while her armor blocks the short sword. Blood starts flowing from under her armor. Ryxikor: -14HP – currently at 6/20 Augustine: -14HP - Currently at 6/20 Miriam: -12HP – currently at 18/30
OOC: The only thing that will immediately enrage the maddened creature is questioning him being the king. Odlin hit it right on the head. OOC2: I put you all in the room to be able to interact with the creature. If you do not like your position, well sorry. Let’s move on. OOC3: These guys can do a lot of damages so you need to be smart about your fight here. DM Edit OOC4: Change to the map: Ryxikor is unharmed at E4 and Augustine is at K4 OOC5: See Puff post next to understand the DM edit
