The dwarf looks at Stadvas and passes him a look, showing his concern for Jukia. The water faerie's words of a woman oscillating between pure evil and goodness worries the wizard.
Once the fighter enters the room, Odlin closely follows him with his club ready and a scroll of burning hands in his off hand.

"She's not lost yet." Stadvas manages to draw hope from the stranger's description of Jukia, and attempts to transfer some to Odlin. He prepares his flail and, once they're certain there is no trap, steps into the next room, ready to face whatever horrors are further on their path.

Odlin expresses his worries about Jukia’s fate. Stadvas tries to convince the dwarf as much as he is trying to convince himself. Miriam looks at the group, especially the members who knew Jukia from Barrow’s Edge. “ You will need to be strong. If she has turned to evil, she will have to be stopped. The fact that she is apparently still chained is a good sign. The fact that she alternates between good and evil is not. There is a battle inside her for her soul. May the love for her mother be more powerful that all the demonic seeds in her.’ Stadvas enters the room and is choked at what he sees. Dust chokes the air in this large, open room. Webs cover the walls, but you can see the gleam of their glasslike surfaces in a few clear patches. The webs also blanket the walls to the south and cover the large statue in the center of the room. The group can barely make out its features—it appears to be a man sitting on a throne. The tracks of humanoids are apparent, leading from the door deeper into the chamber. There is a balcony to the south, also covered in web. There is a stair going up to the balcony.

Trying to get a better view of the room, Stadvas moves deeper into it.

"Keep an eye open, all these webs, we might be able to tell if there has been a battle recently." Augustine keeps his bow ready as he looks around the room, looking for any sign of violence, or a hint as to what is making the webs.

"Stadvas, use your torch and burn as many webs as you can." Ryxikor tells the human, thinking something may show itself in the burning webs. The elf realizes it's possible it's just webs from the passage of time with no disturbances. The elf looks to the floor, trying to discern the direction the others may have gone or may be hiding. Ryx moves near the first column supporting the balcony, he reaches into his beltpouch pulling something out, he lobs it over the balcony, so it lands on the floor above with a loud crack.
Move: move to G4, and grab thunderstone Standard: throw thunderstone on balcony OOC: maybe this'll help find out if anyone is up there, hehe

Odlin stays close to Stadvas, trying to bolster his resolve. His club and his scroll are kept handy.

Augustine decides to look at the web. He notices that some of the web is quite old while some of it seems newer. He can sees that the tomb robbers have gone through this room, fought something before likely go upstairs. Stadvas knowing that it is his job as a front liner to take the bunt of whatever evil is in this room move deeper into the room. Odlin moves behind the warrior, ready to support his friend in combat. Miriam follows the warrior, looking quite uneasy. “I do not like this place, not a beat. Something is definitively wrong here.” Ryxikor propose that they burn the web with the torch they are carrying. Before anyone answer, he moves below the balcony next to the supporting column and to his dismay gets entangled by the fresh web (will need an escape artist or strength check if Ryxikor tries to escape). Suddenly out of the web appears a swarm of fist-sized, bright red spider. The swarm attacks the poor Stadvas. As the spider enters the space of the fighter, he takes advantage of the opportunity to smash as many spiders as he can. The swarm tries to swarm the warrior but he does a great job preventing the swarm from overwhelming him. Suddenly, out of the web appears a human shaped creature completely wrapped in webs shambles and starts walking toward the group. Its skin is rippling slightly as if many small creatures are squirming inside.
OOC: Puff. I need a roll for the thunderstone throw which is why I ignored it. Do not forget the entanglement issue which lower the dexterity modifier. OOC2: I speifically gave you little about what exactly you are facing. MAy be using some skills successfully would help.

Odlin swings at the swarm of angry red spiders, crushing as many as he can with his club. The dwarf keeps one eye on the web-entangled monster thinking his burning hands spell might find a use pretty quickly
Swing at swarm club +2melee (1d6) = AC 3 ! as i had a readied action, i might have been able to attack the swarm last round before it attacked stadvas. if so, could the DM make the rolls for that attck.

Stadvas tries to get away from the swarm of spiders, and to squish as many of them as he can with his flail.
5-ft step to D6, attack swarm: 1d20+5=20+5=25 (swarms are immune to crits aren't they?) Damage: 1d10+5

Augustine shudders at the sight of the insect-filled creature in front of him, but nonetheless moves into position and attacks it with his new bow.
Move to C4 (that ought to take care of our insect problem), attack WM over Odlin Attack: 1d20+8=16I haven't had time to update my character sheet yet. I'll do it next week, I have tests for almost all of my classes this week.

Ryx doesn't even notice the spiders or the web wrapped figure, he is too involved in getting free of the webs that have caught him. He forgets his plan to throw the thunderstone and instead, decides to carefully free himself. He tries not to struggle to much.
escape artist: 1d20(9)+3(DEX)=12, that does not include the lowered dex

Initiative: Odlin, Stadvas, Augustine, Ryxikor Round 1 Starts Odlin had a swing ready for the spider swarm but he fails to connect. As more of the spider swarm is coming out of the web, and attack him, he gets an AoO but unfortunately fails to crush any of them. He attacks the monster to free the group from that abomination but in his rush, he hits the floor and cracks his club. Stadvas shows none of the problems that Odlin is facing and easily squash a lot of the nasty spiders. If the swarm would have been a humanoid, the warrior hit would have been magnificent. Augustine moves forward to shot the creature wrapped in a web but the arrow flies high above the monster head. Suddenly he is covered by another part of the swarm. This gives his an attack of opportunity but he is so surprised, he fails to kill any of the arachnids. Ryxikor has his own problem trying to get untangled but his first attempt fails. He thinks he hears some movement on the balcony but is not sure. Miriam swings at the swarm to help free the mighty warrior in front of her, the Great Stadvas. Her mace does a great job killing a bunch of spiders but the swarm has not disintegrated. Then the swarm covers them and she has an opportunity to finish the monster but fails. The swarm attacks the four heroes it covers by but some incredible luck none of them get bitten (rolled nothing better than a 9 in 4 tries ) The web covered creature moves forward and slams hard on Odlin, piercing the dwarf defense with incredible violence, nearly sending the dwarf in the afterlife. Odlin: -14HP of damages – currently at 5/19Round 1 Ends
OOC1: I forgot to ask for initiative so I used the actual posting order with Miriam and the critters going last. OOC2: I screw up on the swarm as it is a 10 x 10 monster and not a 5 x 5, so you guys got lucky in the surprise round. OOC3: Cal, sorry but I rolled a 1 on your critical miss. A cracked club is a -2. After the next hit, it is -4, then -6, then -8, then -10 then it split and is useless.

The elf tries to remain calm and not get excited, he doesn't want to struggle to much and only wind up getting more entangled. trying to use his inherent grace to help escape, he finds the webs only hinder him. Yet he tries to escape to find out what he thought he heard up stairs. He listens carefully, to see if he hears anything else.
listen: 1d20(6)+6=12 escape artist: 1d20(12)+or-? (+3DEX)=12?

After another powerful swing of his flail at the revolting vermin surrounding him, Stadvas uses one of his hands to draw the dagger he won when all of this began and to give it to Odlin, who is approaching unarmedness at a dangerous speed.
Standard Action: Attack against swarm: 1d20+5=19+5=24 Yay! Another crit! ...Oh, wait. Swarm. Damage still 1d10+5
Now, what I'd like to do is hold the flail in one hand, quickdraw my dagger, give it to Odlin, then get the flail back in two hands. I have one standard or move action left, and I don't see giving anything to anyone anywhere in the Player's handbook. I might not have looked properly. So, does it provoke AoO, if it does, only for me or for the receiving too, or maybe just for the latter, and can I do it in one action (or in one action now and and one action at the beginning of next round, so I can use another standard attack action then)?
