Stadvas steps towards the unconscious Varag leader, raises his flail and brings it down onto the Varag's head.
Coup De Grace on the Varag Leader. The damage is 2d10+2*3+1.5*2=2d10+6+3=2d10+9, after the critical, right?

Initiative: Augustine, Odlin, Ryxikor, Stadvas, Miriam, Varags (action stopped here) Beginning of Round 7 Augustine unleashes a couple of arrows on the last moving varag but both of them bounce of the monster armor. Odlin swings his cudgel, hoping to break a few teeth but sadly, the sweat is his hand is too strong and the cudgel starts to go flying against the wall but stop its course at Ryxikor. The rogue elf has no damages but Odlin needs to pick up his weapon from the floor. Ryxikor waits for the varag to move but the varag does not move as it will attack Stadvas with the need to move. So finally the rogue elf approaches the varag and snip it with his rapier, drawing a few drops of blood. Ilya decides it is time to end the leader life and do a coup de grace on the varag leader. The flail crashes on the paralyzed leader head which explodes into smithereens, with blood, bones and gore flying everywhere. The coup de grace generates an attack of opportunity from the last remaining varag but it fails to connect. Miriam squeals of pleasure as she sees Stadvas take down the varag leader “this is what team work is all about”. She moves closer to Odlin and touches him with a wand “You look like you could use some healing my dwarf friend” (27 charges left) The last varag, realizing that it is a fight to the death decides to uses his run attack potential. It hits Stadvas and moves into the room on the straw. The fighter is starting to look like the end is near for him. Stadvas: -5HP of damages – currently at 5/29 Odlin: +9HP – Currently at 15/19End of Round 7
Miriam Spells: 0 3/4; 1 3/3 +1d, 2 0/2 +1d OOC: No flanking bonus for a paralyzed opponent as flanking is supposed to represent a distraction i.e. the victim must pay attention to two potential attackers thus given a slight advantage to the attackers. IF the victim is paralyzed, there is no flanking bonus. OOC2: Natural 1 is an automatic no hit (same opposite as natural 20). The OOC3: Ilya, not sure what the modifier you use are for but I trust you.

Augustine keeps a steady stream of arrows going towards the varag, and is finally rewarded for his patience as one of his arrows sinks into the goblinoid's flesh. His face shows his gratification at finally hitting it, but he is already moving his hand toward his quiver for his next shot.
Rapid shot: 1d20+5=12, 1d20+5=21Damage: 1d8+4

"Thank you Miriam," sighs Odlin, glad that some of the hurt is abating. He decides to go retrieve his club after looking at his tubby fingers and wondering if they would only cause harm when he waglles them. A fleeting image of a roaring half-orc with gore encrusted forearms pummeling opponents springs to his mind.
move to B9 then reach out and pick up slub

"I could use help." The warrior announces, turning around towards the last Varag. Realizing straw tends to burn quite well, he looks at the others and asks, "Got more of those Fires?" He approaches the Varag, but stays away of the straw for now.
Twice my BAB, 3, for the Power Attack, and 1.5 (or 1,5) times my Strength bonus, 2.

Initiative: Augustine, Odlin, Ryxikor, Stadvas, Miriam, Varags (action stopped here) Beginning of Round 8 Augustine unleashes another set of arrows and the first one misses like a lot of them have done before. However, his second one buries itself deep in the varag’s flesh. Odlin goes pick up his cudgel against the wall of the room. Ryxikor continues engaging the varag but this time his rapier fails to pierce the monster’s hide. Stadvas moves slowly towards the varag and requests Miriam’s help. Miriam is more than happy to help the strong warrior and she puts her hand on his muscles and touches him with the wand while burying her eyes into his “here you go, mighty strong warrior”. The wand releases its magic and some of Stadvas wounds heals. (26 charges left) The last varag, needed a bottle runs for the space near the fissure. First he attack Augustine and fails so he runs to his last stand. Stadvas: +8HP of healing – currently at 13/29End of Round 8

Augustine steps south and continues his volley of arrows, maintaining his pattern of one arrow being a good shot, and one being as far off as it can be without coming back and hitting him.
5 foot step south, to H9, rapid shot. 1d20+5=7, 1d20+5=18Can't wait until I can afford at least a masterwork bow. Of course, when rolling twos, that still won't do any good.

Initiative: Augustine, Odlin, Ryxikor, Stadvas, Miriam, Varags (action stopped here)
Beginning of Round 9
Augustine continues with his 50% hit rate with his arrows. The first one flies way above the varag head but the second one enters through the monster eyes and comes out from the other side of its head. The monster gets wobbly on his feet before falling down on the ground with a loud, loud bang.
(Battle Over)
Silence returns to the room. Miriam takes a look at the magic backpack and then smiles. “Who would have thought we would find one here? We got ourselves a mighty Heward Handy Haversack” She pulls out more hay, some caltrops, dried meat, waterskin, wine bottle, jewelry stolen from the ransacked tomb and a crowbar.
OOC: XP to be distributed. Posting has been laxed this fight. Cal has 100%, then Nodaisho has 89%, Ilya 78% and Puff 67%. Will adjust the XP accordingly.
OOC2: Please vote on the poll regarding Miriam and the next adventure.

Odlin can't wait to get after Jukia. He pulls forth a scroll of Burning Hands in anticipation of administering justice to her friend's captors. However his curiosity gets the better of him and he peers in to the fissure using his darkvision to determine where it might lead.
once we are all healed, we should go. Can we level up now or do we need to rest first? I don't think busy players should be penalised for not posting every day - in fact the player that thought that radical idea up seems to have been the least frequent poster in the last fight. i would be more than happy to share our my XP so that everyone gets the same amount. i just think that we all lead busy lives and its a shame to be penalised for that.... just my two cents worth

Stadvas is also filled with desire to go damage Jukia's captors as soon and as much as possible. He takes a look at the straw and wonders if there's anything useful in the straw, but decides this is not the time.
I'd like to point out that in half the rounds, I was the first to post, and I didn't post during one, because I couldn't understand what you meant with Stadvas' health. And that time, the next round began before I got the chance to reply.

With the fight finally over, Ryxikor relaxes, then looks disgusted, "Oooo, good shot Augustine!" The elven rogue cleans his weapons carefully and re-sheaths them. He helps the others with any searching.
"What do you see, Odlin?" He asks the dwarf.
After searching the entire room, Ryx moves to the north to see what is around the corner.

OOC: ALL RIGHT YOU!!! Every ONE will get the same XP! And if a player does not post, his character will be in defensive mode, which is my original post. So Odlin is the only level 4 yet!
