[glow=red,2,300]See my decision on Cal’s suggestion at the bottom of the post[/glow]Initiative: Augustine, Sargus, Stadvas, Krisis (fascinated 0/2), zombie, Ryxikor, Oldin, Miriam (entangled 2/3) (no roll) Augustine decides to strike the zombie but his aim is high and away. Sargus strikes the goo with both weapon and is nearly free of it. He will be free next round and after that will be half speed for 4 rounds. Stadvas attacks hoping to repeat is previous strike but the hit is low and away. Krisis keeps being fascinated but Odlin charming personality. The zombie swings its scimitar and this time hits Stadvas, hurting the warrior even more. Ryxikor, hurt but still quite nimble, uses his dexterity to move away from the immobilized Sargus. He shoots more obscenities and unleashes an arrow. The shoot is incredible, piercing the hide and the armor of the monster. The arrow goes deep and it is obvious by the Varag reaction that Ryxikor has hit a vital organ, may be even two. Sargus looks suddenly in a really bad shape. Miriam waits for the goo to go away and will go heal Stadvas at the next round. Stadvas: -4hp – Currently at 15/29 [glow=red,2,300]Given that everyone posted, I ran the game as I did before but starting next round, I will have Augustine and Stadvas go then the monsters and stop there. After that, it will be all the heroes. We will have a half turn for this round. If the guys do not get a chance to post, I will do it for them as they will keep hitting the undead varag.[/glow]OOC: Puff I gave you the sneak. Not sure if it was the right call but it seemed ok.

"Hahah-urgh." The warrior's loud amusement caused by Ryxikor's joke is quickly silenced by another hit. Stadvas moves around the undead creature that so rudely interrupted his laugh, so he and Augustine can flank it, and swings at it again. He decides that, because of the advantage of his position, he can take a slightly higher risk of missing, and this decision proves to be wrong.
1d20+5+2 = 6+5+2 = 13 I hope it'll help you more, Nodaisho. The dice don't favor me. AC:19 HP: 15/29

Initiative: Augustine, Stadvas, Sargus, Krisis (fascinated 0/2), zombie, Action stopped here, Ryxikor, Oldin, Miriam (entangled 2/3) (no roll) Augustine swings on the zombie but the armor and hide stop the blade before it can do much damages. Stadvas moves around and flank the zombie. He swings but this time hit high and away, missing the undead monster. Sargus pulls out a potion and drinks it. A lot of the wounds created by Ryxikor arrow are now gone. He yells at his mate to join him in the fight Krisis is still fascinated by the beautifully interesting Odlin The zombie hits Stadvas again with its scimitar giving more damages to the poor fighter. Stadvas: -5hp damages – Currently at 10/29
OOC: I added back the HP for the goo. Good catch Puff. OOC2: To make it clear, Augustine, Odlin and Miriam will finish the round and them Augustine and Stadvas will attack again and then the monsters.

The excitable young elf skips in the air, "Haha haha !!" escapes from Ryx as giddiness seems to take over from such a well placed shot. But seeing the beast angrily scrape off the goo then drink a potion and heal before his eyes, Ryxikor decides it would be prudent to quickly move and attack again. He instantly figures his only move can be one that takes him closer to his companions and the two warriors, so he takes a step south then starts moving southwest drawing another arrow as he moves, before finally taking a shot. He hopes he can make another devestating shot like the last.
HP: 9/15 AC: 16 Move action: 30' , starting at G12 to H12 then skirt the wall southwest to J9, I think he can make it there, then fire his arrow from there. Standard action: Attack Sargus (sneak attack) Attack: 1d20(9)+5=14, oh please let him be denied his DEX,

Augustine continues to distract the zombie, and mentally curses the wall causing him so much trouble making contact. Aid another on zombie (1d20 + 2=16)Huh, roll would have been one higher if I had just attacked, but Stadvas does more damage. I am losing 4 from each attack right now, due to the wall, Cal, Ilya, would you be all right with me moving around? I took this position in order to be able to protect Cal from Sargus, but he is off on the other side of the room now. Ilya, we wouldn't be able to flank right now if I did, but I would be able to aid another 3/4 times rather than a bit better than 1/2.

Odlin continues to maintain his magicks around Krisis' like a seductive coccoon. The hypnotic patterns keep the Varag subdued as the wizard secretly hopes the others can quiickly take down the zombie and then help Ryx deal with Sargus.
S: keep concentrating on the hypnoyic pattern spell M: try to move 5ft to I9 (success) still holding a scroll of scorching ray in his hand
i'm assuming Ilya will want to attack the zombie again? (+2 flanking +2 aid another from Augustine so Stadvas longsword 1d20+9, 1d8+2 damage, AC19 (halfplate+shield))
and Noda, feel free to move if you want to. do whatever it takes to take down the zombie so you can help Ryx with Sargus!

Initiative: Augustine, Stadvas, Sargus, Krusis (fascinated 0/2), zombie, Action stopped here, Ryxikor, Odlin, Miriam (entangled 2/3) (no roll) Ryxikor continues to taunt the varag but is starting to get worried as he knows that when a varag selects a target, it never quits. He moves away from Sargus as much as he can and unleashes an arrow. Although the varag is too busy with the goo to use its incredible dexterity, he still manages to avoid the arrow. Odlin continues to charm the varag in a way incomprehensible to her made. The dwarf realizes that although the strategy is brilliant so far, it might fail if the zombie does not go down. Miriam, finally free of the goo, walks toward Stadvas, avoiding the opportunistic scimitar of the zombie. She puts her hand on him and calling in the magic of St. Cuthbert, heals some of the warrior wounds using the divine power of a cure moderate wounds. Augustine, knowing that he is on the wrong side of the wall to effectively hit the zombie decides to help Stadvas hit the monster. Somehow, his distracting attempts are successful. Stadvas, helped but Augustine and having the advantage of flanking him swings his long sword, feeling positive he will hit. Unfortunately, the attempt fails. Sargus, annoyed with the goo and feeling that it will take too long with his scimitar tries to break free. He succeeds and point at Ryxikor. Although he is free of the goo, his motion will be impaired for the next 3 rounds. Krusis continues to look at Odlin, starting to make loving eyes to him. IS this the beginning of something special? The zombie swings at Stadvas methodically. Luckily for the warrior, the zombie swing is predictable and he can avoid it this time. Stadvas: healed 14HP – Currently at 24/29
Miriam: Spell: 0 4/4, 1 3/3 + 1; 2 1/2 +1 AC 17 HP 20/20 OOC: Puff, thank you for mentioning that the goo cannot be removed with a sword. I went back to the official text and learned that Sargus could do a strength check which he succeeded.

Stadvas' next attempt at injuring the zombie goes as bad as it possibly can go. He tries not to show that his constant failures at hitting this undead are slowly getting on his nerves.

Needing a chance to recover, Ryxikor, retreats a few steps and rummages through his backpack for a certain vial. As he puts the wall of combatants between him and the large varag, Ryx withdraws the vial, and after popping the cork off quickly quaffs the potion.
HP: 9/15 AC: 16
Move action: grab potion while moving to G6 Standard action: drink potion cure light wounds 1d8+1

Augustine turns around the wall, using it to cover his already quick movement. He then attacks the zombie, unhindered by the wall, but misses as badly as Stadvas.
5 foot step to G8 Attack on Zombie (1d20+4=7)Where is the emote for banging your head on the wall? Maybe Miriam could use a cure ___ wounds on the zombie? I bet that a touch attack would have an easier time, it would ignore the natural armor and the studded leather.

Odlin frowns slightly as he tries to work out why his elven friend has decided to protect the mage from behind but he still remains focused on keeping Krisis at bay
S: continue concentrating on Krisis and hypnotic pattern M: makes no odds to moving anywhere methinks? but guess move 15ft west to I7 then 5ft north-west to H6 will be an idea?

Initiative: Augustine, Stadvas, Sargus, Krusis (fascinated 0/2), zombie, Action stopped here, Ryxikor, Odlin, Miriam Ryxikor deciding to put has many bodies between him and Sargus goes to the east of the room. There he drinks a healing potion. Odlin feels quite exposed and know that if anything touches him or Krusis, the spell will be broken. He tries to gesture others to protect him but no one react. Miriam sees that everyone he healing so she approaches the zombie and swings her mace. Unfortunately, she is as bad with a mace as she is good at healing people and misses badly. Augustine decides to attack rather than help Stadvas but also fails to connect with the zombie. Stadvas swings his long sword but once again, cannot do any damages. An extreme frustration starts to show on the warrior face. Sargus is starting to move toward half speed. The varag is fast and only the goo prevents him from doing a spring attack. He stops in front of Ryxikor and swings with both weapons. However, in a sing of great luck, both weapons fail to connect with the rogue elf skin. Krusis is still fascinated started to wonder how good of a mate Odlin would be. The zombie attacks at cut Stadvas in the wounds that Miriam just healed. Ryxikor: +6HP of healing – Currently at 15/15 Stadvas: -6HP of damages – Currently at 18/29
OOC: well at least I rolled low on Sargus attack but Ryxikor cannot rely on luck alone at this point. At least Odlin is still alive (until Ryxikor dies of course). Evil DM sound track not included.

Out of a mix of stubbornness and desire to survive, more the latter than the former, Stadvas attempts to ignore the damage done to him and continues his attempts to injure the... thing he is fighting. "Will you, by Kord, just die?" the fighter mumbles.
1d20+7 = 9+7 = 16 Damage: 1d8+2

The dwarf focuses a maelstrom of ethereal energy on to the mind of Krisis, keeping her enraptured
S: concentrate on Krisis and hypnotic pattern M: move 10ft to I8
suggestion to party: standing next to the zombie and emptying a vial of holy water over it does not provoke AoO, is a ranged touch attack but doesn't take a -4 attack penalty for firing in to melee (as hitting a buddy does no harm). but would provoke an AoO from Sargus if he was next to you when you did this.
