Kerraur offers the idea to disguise the group. Ryxikor seconds the motion. The Kerraur seems to be backtracking on his idea.
Savenleye nods. "This will be a high risk idea. Soldeirs upstairs are suspicious, especially if they see Kerraur still alive. May be we should think of a strategic way to take them down. The issue is silence and they will call for reinforcement."
Valandir go get his equipment and Ryxikor takes the opportunity to check the storage room. Nothing of value is there.
Padre asks Valandir "Valandir, the fact that you were a prisoner vouch for your character. However, I am curious about your whereabout in a place like this. What is the motivation that brought you here?
Dra'gen looks at the group, his psionic swords shinning "We need a decision here. If we pretend the prisoners are going upstairs, we still stay in the Tower of Bones and I am not sure I want to fight with a couple of commoners in the way. We also have to save Rolabend and Tren before they are Zombies. Any ideas how to do that? "

Valandir takes a dagger from his backpack and slips it into his belt at his hip.He turns to answer Padre: "I am the sole survivor of a group of adventurers contracted to explore the area. The others gave their lives rather than be taken. I was scouting ahead for the group and was surrounded by overwhelming force before I could act."
He responds to Dra'gen: "A diversion plan usually works if executed properly. I will volunteer to provide one if you form such a plan."

Ryxikor's mind races, "We have to get them out," the elf says in a quick harsh whisper, "We have to get Rolabend and Tren. Sounds as though we have to dispatch the guards upstairs at some point. I guess a main question is, do we do it upstairs or get them to come back down here?" He asks as he finishes examining the sword he got from the guard, if it looks worthy of selling he sheaths it and puts it in his haversack.
As the elven warrior looks over the shiel carefully, he continues with his plan, "If we yell for help, they already assume we are having difficulties with him," he says as he points to Kerraur, "If they come back down, I believe I can take one out from under cover." he explains as he points to under the stairway.

"We could do that, but then we need to make sure it all happens quickly and efficiently, or we'll be standing here facing an endless stream of enemies." Kerraur warns them.

Dra'gen eyes the former prisoner apprehensively for a moment, not quite trusting him, then says What kind of diversion do you have in mind?

Valandir turns, responding to Dra'gen: "I hadn't formulated a plan yet; I've... had a difficult day so far."
"I was just saying that if you need a volunteer for a dangerous task, I am honor bound to do my best to carry it out."

Dra'gen looks around for a moment then with a wry smile says Good idea Valandir. Anyone good with making things go boom? Theres a whole room full of zombies as the padre discovered. Don't really see a need to have those hanging about. Can't save them now that they are undead and evil. Maybe we can toss something in there, hide somewhere by the stairs, then when the fireworks start up the guards come rushing down to see what all the pandemonium is and we quickly slip up the stairs in the commotion.

Padre extends his hand to Valandir while smiling. Good to know that we have new skills in the group. We could use them, assuming we are able to get out of here alive.
The elf scout smiles as he volunteers to perform a diversion if needed.
Ryxikor states that taking the soldiers upstairs is a must but he is not sure where and how.
Kerraur understands that if the group is not careful, all the various fighters in the Tower of Bones will be going there.
Dra’gen questions Valandir on his diversion idea. With honesty, the elf scout admits he has no plan at the moment.
Dra’gen smiles and proposes to do an explosion diversion. The group will hide and go up trying to take advantage of the commotion and chaos.
Padre’s eyes open wide. this is a fantastic idea. I think that if we could have smoke, it would even better. Anyone knows how to make thing go kaboum?
Savenleye looks at the group. If the plan works, I propose we split. I will take Jorsh and Ristim back to the Mystra cave where we have the two cultists tied out. I can set them up as shield and wait until you guys come back. I would also be there if someone shows up through the portal. The rest of you could go upstairs.
Padre looks at Savenleye Be careful. The kingdom cannot afford to lose its only daughter. Savenleye shrugs It already lost its only son
Padre usually jovial face turns dark. He shakes his head and looks at the group. So any idea how to implement this great plan?

"I have a smokestick, but thats not any good by itself." Ryx says as he stands beside the steps, holding the guards shield and his dagger.

Sirali wonders what Savenleye and Padre are talking about, but figures now is not the time for questions about people's pasts and suddenly snaps back to the task at hand. "I can still cast one more Produce Flame spell today" the Druid puts in timidly. "I think Dra'gen's plan was a good one," she adds, finding it difficult to meet his eye.

"My spells can mimic most sounds." Kerraur answers. "But an actual explosion would be difficult."

So we have smoke, fireball, and sound.. thats pretty much all we need. We just need to get them to come down and see what all the commotion is and get them to turn their backs long enough to get past them. The fire and smoke will draw their attention away from the stairs and hopefully the smoke will be enough to give us some cover.

With everyone standing around talking about a plan, but not actually putting anything to action, Ryx sets the guard's shield down, hides his drow's dagger in the folds of his cloak and heads up the stairs. When the elf gets closer to the top, he starts moving quicker and labors his breathing, once he reaches the top, he speaks to the guards, "Come quick, the chicken has escaped and is flying and flapping all over the place. If we don't subdue him quick, Kia Mordrayn will turn us all into undead." The elf starts back down the stairs, then turns to see if they follow.
bluff: 1d20(1)+9=10, ooops hahahahahah
occ: since everyone wants to take time to discuss this situation, This post won't actually count till 2-3 hours before Achinca gets off work, to give him time to make a post, thats about 4-5 hours from now I think

Ryxikor puts the MW long sword and the shield in his haversack.
The group agrees to a plan.
Ryxikor moves up to the top of the stairs and asks for help. Before he can get see the answer he goes back down.
Hidden behind the stairs, the group waits. It hears soldiers going down and the plan starts.
Sirali throws flame balls in succession against the wall. Dra’gen throws the smokestick that Ryxikor has given him and the basement is full of smoke. Kerraur has some convince sounds of pain and confusion.
The soldiers enter the room and stops as the smoke is taking over. All at once the group goes upstairs, with Padre and Savenleye leading the way. Two soldiers are still in the hallway. The smoke is starting to come up the stairs. Savenleye says “By the Dragon. They need your help downstairs. in a very convincing way. The soldiers go downstairs and the way is temporarily open.
Savenleye with the two civilians goes toward the door with the intention to exit. Padre looks at the rest of the group: What Now?
