"Upstairs. Follow me." Ryx says without hesitation as he moves up the next set of steps.

As the noisy group moves upstairs, Ryxikor holds his hand up in the air for the others to stop and hopefully be quiet while he checks to see if guards are posted.

Smiling that the ruse seemed to work, at least for the moment, Dra'gen follows close behind Ryx. Once he sees Ryx hold his hand up, he stops and lets the stealthy elf check their way while glancing behind to make sure the rear of the goup is not being followed. He thinks to himself They are going to figure out that somethings up, but hopefully we can put enough distance between us and them before they catch on.

Kerraur keeps an attacking spell on the very tips of his fingers, ready to unleash it the moment something goes wrong, and moves along.

Padre picks a pendant from his neck and throws it at Savenleye Tell the king I am sorry but I cannot do it anymore Savenleye nods and exits the Tower of bones with the two civilians. Ryxikor climbs the stairs, trying to be silent. He is followed by Dra’gen but stop the group and he checks for guards. Dra’gen stops in the stairs followed by the group. Being in the stairs between floors is definitively not the best strategic position. Kerraur follows as he prepares a spell. Sirali, Valandir and Padre close the march. Everyone except for Kerraur is wearing a cultist cloak. Near the top of the landing is a small table and chair, behind which sits an unarmored man. He is writing upon one of the scrolls on the table, and a sentry stands to either side of him . Another flight of stairs goes up from here. The man writing raises his head and says “ Welcome. I do not recognize you. Are you from the Castle? My name is Rathwill. How can I help you? Do you know the source of the commotion I heard?
OOC: Puff, roll a bluff check. I will adjust the modifier based on the quality of your response.

Totally caught by surprise, Ryxikor hopes he doesn't show it. He stands up tall and approaches one more step, "I'm Ryxikor, we've been on patrol," so far so good, not lying yet, he thinks, "and we captured this man with wings." he says as he holds his left hand up behind him and snaps his finger to get all his comrades attention, while he still clutches the drow dagger in his right, hiding it in the folds of his cloak, "Some kind of flying man." he continues.
Ryx does not quit talking, he motions for his companions to advance up the steps, as he engages the seated man in conversation, "He put up such a struggle downstairs, we were instructed to bring him up here. We don't want to disturb Kia, but we think he would be an asset, For The Dragon." Ryx says the last louder than the rest of his fragile explanation.

On Ryx's subtle motion, Dra'gen looks back at Kerraur then says gruffly Let's go. Follow me bird man! Then he strolls to the next flight of stairs like he's done this a few times before.

Kerraur lets out an angry squawk and follows along, still ready to throw some lighting or fire a guard's way, or create a lot of noise, as the situation warrants, but definitely distracted from it by his new duties,

Rathwill listens to Ryxikor. When the elf mentions Kia, his facial expression turns perplex. “Why would you think that Kia is in the Tower of Bones? Are you guys from the castle? ”
Before Ryxikor can answer, Dra’gen brings up Kerraur. Rathwill looks intrigued. ‘What an interesting specimen. I have never seen one like this before. Is it the failed product of a magical experiment? ’
Kerraur acts the part, squawking loud. Rathwill replies ‘Wow! That thing is quite loud. Where did you find it? I guess it is a gift from the Dragon. If only it had scales and not feathers. ”
Padre, Sirali and Valandir joins the clearing in silence. The two sentries stay by Rathwill side, looking bored. Padre pretends to hit Kerraur hard in the back of the head but slows down at the last second. Let’s bring it upstairs before he causes more commotions ….

Hearing the first line of questioning Dra'gen slows down his progression, but does not stop. He keeps his gaze on his friend being careful not to let his face show his nervousness

"Maybe we can pluck some of those feathers." Ryx says as he looks at Kerraur, trying to keep up the charade. After hearing Padre, Ryxikor turns back to the seated man, and not wanting to delay anymore Ryx asks, "Well? Take it on up?"
is a bluff check required on this one just in case bluff: 1d20(8)+9=17 sleight of hand dagger: 1d20(8)+11=19

Hearing that suggestion, Kerraur now genuinely moves away from Ryx and glares towards him angrily, pulling his wings as close to his body as he can, and casting a quick glance up to see if that's a possible way to escape.

Valandir keeps close to Padre and tries to be as inconspicuous as possible I'm really kinda lost without a map and without knowledge of the story thus far (the "Dragon", Kia, etc.).

noting his friends reaction to Ryx's offer, Dra'gen quickly looks at Ryx and says We were told not to damage this specimen in any way. I don't like this thing either and would just as soon skin it alive, but I'm not taking any chances on what might happen if we did damage it. Not even plucking a feather. I suggest we just do as we're told and take it where we were told to deliver it undamaged.

Sirali is feeling quite anxious and hoping the conversation will end quickly, the longer it takes, the more she fears events won't be in their favour. She tries to maintain her composure but keeps quiet, worrying that if everyone talks at once it will draw too much suspicion. Remaining at the back of the group, she tries to look patient, calm and alert like a good guard on duty.
