Kerraur quickly tells his familiar to fly higher and warn them if there is any danger. All the way through the forest, he keeps track of where they are going, drawing on his instinctive ability to sense directions.
When they arrive at the stones, he cautiously looks around, worried about the group's safety. "If they have been taken here, they must be kept here, too... with someone to guard them..."

Knowing that the effects of the spell have worn off and she can no longer communicate with the birds, Sirali resorts to more traditional methods and examines the clues on the ground.

Still holding the last piece of evidence, the cloth, Ryxikor looks closely towards the ground, looking for anything that could be connected to this abduction. Every so often the rogue looks up and around, making sure no-one sneaks up on them.

Not having much expertise in tracking, Dra'gen is forced to do little more than follow the groups lead. He assists as much as he can in the search.

After taking time to search the area, Ryxikor wants to be ready for a confrontation and thinks it could be useful to have a captive. The elven rogue gets ten arrows out and starts carefully covering the sharp heads with drow poison.

Kerraur sends his familiar high in the sky. The elemental does not see anything out of the ordinary. Sirali, Ryxikor and Dra’gen look around for track or any clue. Luckily for them, it seems that whoever abducted the men did not make any effort to hide their tracks. The plants have been trampled by several pairs of boot s and lead to the central part of the ruin, where a badly camouflaged stone staircases lead down. The staircase is surrounded by a large number of rocks. There is no light in the stairwell, but dark vision shows t at it quickly makes a clockwise turn as it continues down. The stairs are perfectly safe and stable.
Padre smiles ‘Seems that people did not expect to be followed. Overconfidence can be a curse …

When finished, and the group is finished inspecting the grounds, Ryxikor takes the lead and heads down into the stairwell. If a light source is needed, Ryx suggests Padre carry it. The rogue tries to remain quiet and winces as he hears the others start their decent.

The party's sorcerer casts a look at the sky, slightly moves his wings with discomfort, and then with clear hesitation descends into the dark bowels of the earth, the third in the group. He, too, attempts to move quietly. With a whispered combination of blows and whistles, he orders his familiar to do the same, which quietly flies above his head.

The group starts to descent the stairway. Ryxikor and Dra'gen are quite silent. However, Kerraur nd his familiar are very noisy. Padre shrugs "So much for surprising anyone, we have announced our visit. Hopefully the food and drinks will be good."
The bottom of the stair case is illuminated faintly, although it appears that something is blocking access to the room beyond.
Ryxikor, using his elf low light vision notices that it is wide black curtain (split down the middle) in front of the landing, as if to prevent most of the light from leaking to the surface.

"My apologies." the Raptoran whispers, cringing at the idea of endangering his allies by his unintended noisiness. He hisses and whistles at his familiar, reminding the mass of wind currents that they need to be quiet.

Once they get to the curtain, Ryx listens carefully to see if anything can be heard on the other side. He finally, barely pulls one side of the curtain open to see what is in the next room.
