Alyana nods at Taliea's plan. "I like it. Let's see if we can find evidence warranting a visit to the Patron."
The cleric stays where she is but nods her head in agreement, apparently doing no other action.

Having slept as close to the fire as possible, theo is ready to head out into the cold to find out what they can before visiting the patron. There might not be evidence to warrent a visit yet, but Theodorre knows in his own mind a meeting will be happening soon.
On june 15th, Gershault made this comment to Alyana about the Patron- "Sorry m'lady but the Patron does not welcome visitors. He is a... recluse... and quite frankly, I am surprised he even intervened during the attack. I doubt he will entertain an audience with outsiders preferring to bury his beard in his scholarly lore and experiments. At least he lives within civilisation unlike the other one and keeps contact with the mundane world."Who or what is the other one Theo has asked but got no response Theo realises he obviously has to ask the right questions to the right people. It's not as if his life is written out like one big theatrical play and the script of his adventures would just appear before him to read

The group continue to remain in the Town Hall deciding their next action. Kurt looks at his comrades. He is desperate to annoint the white virgin powders outside with the tincture made from the fire of his lifeblood and the defeated essence of monster gore.
They all seem to have good intentions but no-one seems to have made a decision
"We must act! If I talk and talk some more, my tongue will swell to the size of my biceps or maybe the wizard's head," jokes the half-orc
He readies his gauntlets as he looks about his party members who have not decided to go anywhere (or ask anyone in particular a specific question).
"What action should we take? Or should we wait, like aged grandmothers counting the seconds until the arrival of the Reaper, until after they serve us lunch?"

"Lunch sounds good." Kerzeme is immediately interested. But, once he realizes that there's not going to be any lunch immediately, which takes a while, he gives the others a disappointed look, and gets up. "But the heap of muscles is right. I'm still for breaking down that patron guy's door and finding out what he knows. I mean, it's obvious he's hiding something. Unless, of course, he's just ugly and doesn't want people to see. But we'll notice that once we see him." After this, Kerzeme, without paying too much attention to what the others are doing, since it's obvious to the sorcerer that they will follow their heroic and brilliant leader, heads to the Patron's spooky tower. Once there, he walks around it once to see how many exits there are and how big it is. His familiar flies around the tower, looking through the windows and generally inspecting the place.
I made a decision. By the way, no-one has to follow the short evil guy.

Alyana shakes her head at KErzeme decision. "Foolish Human"
She says to Taliea "Let's go check these tracks" and will leave with the other female elf to see what kind of tracks they can find.

Where; The patron's tower
Kerzeme discovers that the tower has no exits, or rather no normal means of entering or leaving. After an hour, his familiar returns to him with a feeling of fear and dread. The raven is eager to leave the vicinity quickly. Something or someone of great power resides within the tower and to attract it's attention is to flirt with a quick and violent death.
Where; The wilderness of Telterik Taliea and Alyanna search the landscape. It isn't difficult to find the monster's tracks although the recent snowfall might be hiding any dangers in waiting. The tracks seem haphazard and without purpose. Whatever is causing them seems to be acting on instinct. However, after a few hours of bravely following the tracks the group notice that they seem to head in a northernly direction. However dusk will fall soon and it is a couple of hours to get back to Icendia.

Alyana tells Taliea that it is time to turn back to Icelandia. On the way back to the inn, she looks to see if the people in the town are less stressed and more relaxed.
At the inn, she tells the group the result of their unsuccessful trip and offers to get ready to go track the monster on the north side of the plain. She will ask the inahbitants the likeliness of survival of a party going north this time of the year.

Where: The Town Hall, Icendia in the Telterik Frozen Wastes When; late evening, 21st day of Maitine, 3806EYM
The party get together after their day's adventuring. As they eat the meal of roast bear flank with hard bread they are interrupted by a small man in a waistcoat and rimmed spectacles. His hair is greying and sparse and he looks frought and tired.
"Good evening, sirs and madams. I am Ustaffe from the mercantile stores. I've been holding a crate for you.
Well I think it's for you as it just says 'Agents acting for Palorius'."
He shuffles his feet nervously. "With all the excitement I guess you didn't come by earlier to pick it up but it's just that it's labelled 'Important' and I thought it was an urgent delivery. If... if... I have to hold on to it much longer then there will be a stowage... umm.. fee before i could release it."
Ustaffe clutches a couple of scrolls, two vials and an inkpen under his right arm.

Alyana starts chuckling "That is right! We came here for a purpose and it was not to hunt gigantic lizards. Kerzeme or Theo, pay the man please. Now, let's get possession of the cargo and let's go deliver it. After that we can focus on the mystery at hand."
After the merchant get paid, Alyan will go inspect the cargo. spot: 1d20 + 6 = 11 + 6 = 17 \search: 1d20 + 2 = 5 + 2 = 7

Ustaffe apologises that the hour is late he's been in the warehouse all day waiting but now it is locked up. once able to leave the warehouse he came looking for the adventurers as he had heard they had arrived the previous night.
If the group come by first thing in the morning then he can let them have the crate.

"what time do you open? We will be there first hing with the fee. How much do we owe you?"
Ustaffe says he will be back in the office by mid-morning once the scouts report all is safe. As to the matter of any fee, he will waive such monies now that he doesn't have to prganise long term storage for the crate.
The little man winces at the priestess. "I'll be relieved to have that crate out of my stores at last. Good riddance!"[/font]

"OK" Taliea addresses the group. "So first thing in the morning we should go and get the cargo. After that we can decide what to do about the creature. It may be that the cargo needs to be taken back immediately. Perhaps Alyana and I can find out all we can about the North while you three pick up the cargo? Then we can meet back here," although she admits to herself that the thought of possibly leaving a small community at the mercy of some unknown, dangerous creature is quite regrettable.
Kurt agrees with Taliea and decides to spend the night outside indulging his love of astronomy (or so he claims; sense motive DC8 to realise otherwise) if he is not needed this evening. He takes his glaive so that he'll have something to lean on.

"Why don't you take Theo, too? Mayhap he can help you get information."
Theo has the best Gather Information skill out of the party, so he should go with Alyana and Taliea.

"Remind me, is there a reward in killing the monster?" Kerzeme asks, in a bad mood because of his bad luck at the tower, and with a resulting lack of desire to do anything. He gets up from his chair slowly, showing that he doesn't want to in every way he can, and sighs. "So we pick up the crate. Sure. I just hope the walking bag of money will pay us that fee back."

Where: Warehouses, Icendia in the Telterik Frozen Wastes When; morning, 22nd day of Maitine, 3806EYM
Kurt appears for breakfast unhurt and disappointed.
Afterwards the group head to see Ustaffe once the scouts report another uneventful night.
The little man is already waiting for everyone and a couple of young men have manhandled a wooden crate to near the front door. It is about 6 feet by 4 feet and 4 feet high and is branded with Palorius Shipping on the side. A small wooden plaque denotes the recipient as Lorran Brightsprocket with the address as simply 'Alvalure, nr Icendia, Telterik Wastes'
The furtive Ustaffe already has the paperwork ready for someone to sign
