The boredom in the frozen waste is punctuated by a shrill shriek. The rage-fueled scream cuts through the frigid air with frightful familiarity.
The midmorning sunlight is pale and weak, stretched over the landscape like a worn shawl. There is little wind.
Kurt bolts upright and races outside to see what is going on.

"Oh not again..." Kerzeme mutters annoyedly when the shriek interrupts his rest. While preparing to leave, he shuffles to the window and looks out.looks for a window to look out of. Not finding one, he patiently gets ready and then moves down to see what happens. He's not really in a hurry.
there is no window, apologies if there was one earlier.
Edit: There wasn't, but I assumed there was since I couldn't find you saying otherwise anywhere.

As Alyana hears the shriek, she runs with Kurt. She tells her half-orc friend "Don't you pull that stunt again. I will not let you die this time. My turn!"
She winks at him as she says that.

After Kurt tells him to 'Sing it loudly', Theoodrre look s totaly surprised and suddenly out of his element. He waits a moment and looks around questioningly. "Well, um, i'm no bard for sure." he quickly clears his throat, and begins, "Well there once was a man name..oh I mean half orc, wait a minute," he says quickly, as he suddenly looks a bit embarrassed. And as a glutton for punishment, he rushes in for more, "Strength, courage, compassion, all in an orc named Kurt..." When he looks down at his friend, it's as though a thought shot thru his mind as he sees a way out of his predicament. "why are we singing tributes to a dead warrior, when he sits right here, alive and well!" he says as he claps kurt on the shoulder, "Oops, sorry, that didn't hurt did it?"
Later, the wizard stays to himself as he studies his spellbook. Once the commotion starts, he follows the others to see what is happening.

A tell-tale storm cloud of ice is bearing towards the tower. The golem erupts from beneath in a shower of sharp ice fragments to stand erect. It bellows again in rage and fury as its mis-matched eyes glare at the tower.
There is no sign of either Eiggor or Lorran.
Kurt tightens is belt "Today is a good day to die!"

OOC: Where are we? are we at the doorway? those with Kurt are outside and would be fair comment to say the doorway is a reasonable starting position
those characters taking their time are two round away.
your choice.edit: While in the tower did Theo notice stairs leading to the top, with maybe a trapdoor leading to the top (outside) of the tower?? there are stairs leading up, surely, but remember Eiggor's warning about the rest of the tower being out of bounds...

Kerzeme gets down, and, on the way making sure his robes are not in disarray, quickly walks outside, with a somewhat interested look, even if he's visibly in a bad mood about getting out of bed.
Kerzeme is apparently two round behind.

Alyana sees that her spell has done nothing to the golem. "Divine magic does not seem to be hurting that thing. Let's see if it is also immune to my mace.
She makes a double move to join Kurt. She will try to slowly flank the golem to give the group an edge. She is in total defense mode.

Barrend charges the golem with a roar, striking at it with his guisarme. He attempts to strike from an angle where he is flanking the creature as well, taking advantage of its distraction to cut more precisely at weak spots.
How large is the golem? I caught the flu coming back from out of town this weekend, and spent Monday and Tuesday in bed, sorry I missed the beginning of this. Would it be possible to say that Barrend drank one of his potions while going out to face the golem? If not, that's fine, he'll fight as a medium creature for now. All rolls assume no flanking bonus. Otherwise, add 2 to the result. Once reaching the bottom of the tower, Theodorre is horrified to see the creature did survive, however not surprised since Kurt survived also. The wizard doesn't stray far from the doorway, as a matter of fact, once everyone is outside he steps back in the doorway just to make sure they don't get locked out. He quickly starts on a spell, only having to mutter a few archaic phrases. Once finished he hopes it takes effect, not sure, having never fought a golem before.
move action: back into doorway standard action: cast blindness Blindness/Deafness Necromancy Level: Brd 2, Clr 3, Sor/Wiz 2 Components: V Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level) Target: One living creature Duration: Permanent (D) Saving Throw: Fortitude negates Spell Resistance: Yes
You call upon the powers of unlife to render the subject blinded or deafened, as you choose.
The character cannot see. He takes a -2 penalty to Armor Class, loses his Dexterity bonus to AC (if any), moves at half speed, and takes a -4 penalty on Search checks and on most Strength- and Dexterity-based skill checks. All checks and activities that rely on vision (such as reading and Spot checks) automatically fail. All opponents are considered to have total concealment (50% miss chance) to the blinded character. Characters who remain blinded for a long time grow accustomed to these drawbacks and can overcome some of them.

Stepping out of the doorway, Kerzeme takes a good look at the golem, and then comes closer, raising his hands. "Man, that gorge is pathetic. We throw in two things and neither dies..." he sighs when spheres of colorful energy leaves his hands.

Neither Theo nor Kerzeme seem to do much harm to the golem. Barendd's assualt does cause some damage although just a bruise here or there. The monster remains on its feet as it swings again at Kurt and the enlarged Barennd. Both blows strike true.
"Out of the way!" snaps Eiggor as he carries a large kettle single-handedly. The henchman is trying to get through the crowded doorway with the apparatus which appears to be large enough to contain a brace of halflings. . Behind him, Lorran is leaning on a wizened staff tipped with a floating emerald. Veins of blue energy crackle along the staff's length but seemingly the wizard appears unhurt by this.
Once outside, some obscure ingredients are thrown inside the large kettle and Lorran's begins to starts an arcane ritual. Wisps of grey energy coalesce from the air and with his motions Lorran sends them in to the kettle.
The golem seems to react to this and looks to want to reach the gnome next round. Kurt however is preparing to block the creature physically.
end of round 3
for those that need reminding, the golem is huge size and previously has had a very big reach.
