Ok, so the first chapter of this game hasn't gone quite according to plan, but I'd like to know everyone's viewpoint and what you all want to do next. Perhaps you don't feel like playing anymore and would like to just quit, or maybe you're willing to give everyone a chance and go ahead a play chapter 2? Or maybe you think we'd all be better off with lower level characters? Want to leave and let the rest of us have our fun, possibly with someone else taking your spot? Any other ideas? Thanks for your feedback.

Well so far everyone's voted in favour of playing Cal's game, which is great! Cal, any idea when you'd like to start? She-Elf

i have some stuff to do for a conference on thursday (and pen this week's gripping campaign adventure for the table top game... i'm going to write in a pirate to help them on their odyssey)
so i guess this weekend is a good time to start
house rule; Noda; you cannot use a body part weilding [edit] wielding a reach weapon to threaten adjacent squares. so if you are using both hands to hold a weapon then you need to be using somethng different to threaten Everyone; this is a VERY short adventure, probably about 3 encounters as defined by the DMG (not all encounters are combat encounters). the adventure is risky (the opening scene paints a picture!), people might die but you get a free rez at the end so not to worry. Posting is erratic, i won't wait for players and they shouldn't wait for me. you can roll your attack and damage rolls or any dice you fancy, if you leave it blank then i'll roll for you. the game starts in the Underdark and you've been hired as mercenaries by some dwarves who've had some bother with some minotaurs. feel free to equip your characters accordingly

Sounds great, I especially love "people might die". I don't think there's enough PC in online games - I think most DMs are too afraid to kill people, but I think that knowing your character won't die takes an element of fun out of the game.
BTW, anyone heard anything from Puff? If he's decided to withdraw from the game it would be nice to know.

READY!!!! Alyana is always ready! No need to prepare for her! How do you prepare for the underdark?
killing a PC in a PbP is a little harder because you run the risk the player get p.o. and leave and it is so hard to get good dedicated players online.
My rule is that I will give the character a chance to survive. But if they act dumb, well, time to roll a new one!

Ready.
Achinca, I don't really have much underdark experience, but bringing a torch seems like a good idea.

My character usually invest in a ever burning torch early in their carrer to avoid that issue. I am not sure what else. MAy be some anti-poison stuf. After all, the underdark isknown for the dark elfs .....

No AoOs with my gauntlet? Oh well, time to take a monk level. Operation pelvic thrust of death go!
Are we leveling our characters, or going with them as they are? Are we getting loot to use before this new one? If not on both of those, I should be ready, even though this week and the next will be busy, as it's coming up on finals week. I'll try not to miss any posts, but if I do, assume that I fell asleep on my keyboard while writing a paper/studying.
For future reference, would all of you object to me planning my campaign for lower level characters? I'm not sure, but it might be a good idea, seeing as when it comes around to me, it will be my second time behind the screen.

cool, i second that motion, we can zap a few levels off for noda's turn (those that know me know i like low-level which is why i can't explain why my current tabletoppers are level 15)
as its only ilya to say ready (and i have faith in his ability to be prepared), i'll carry on as i'm busy on thursday so an early post gives you something to think about before the weekend
