Augustine quickly checks the body for anything that may be valuable, not taking too much time, as the smell is noticeable. He then retrieves anything he may have dropped during combat, making sure it is in working order.
Search: Take 10 + 2 (elf bonus) = 12.

Odlin considers the elf's request. "I say we press onwards. Our dear Jukia is in peril and we should deplete our foes resources before we leave.
we could use up the last of the healing wand's magic before we withdraw. When we leave we can requip and I can endevour to amass an arcane arsenal as appropriate an abjurer aracana as am I."
Stadvas shrugs and in a pique of uncharacteristic verbosity, "I'm running out of cards in my hand. Playing some more rounds could make me bust. But there's Jukia to consider"
Odlin would benefit from some scrolls to boost his firepower and we prob need another wand of healing. are these readily available if we leave the tombs?

Stadvas thinks about stripping naked and cover his body in oil but then realizes that could shock his companion, especially Miriam. Odlin give the sturdy warrior a big manly hug. Miriam takes advantage of the break in action to clean her armor. Augustine checks the body but other than rotten piece of flesh, he does not find anything. It seems that undead do not have a liking for gold or gems. Ryxikor brings in the issue of resting. Odlin indicates that we have a healing wand that could keep them going although the spellcasters are low on magic. Stadvas is worried about dying in there. Odlin realizes that the town has shops where common magical good could be available but he knows that the town is under curfew. However, he is confident that Mia can make the shopkeepers open their shop. Odlin looks at the bridge and see that the stone landing connects to a bridge built of rope and wood, apparently placed to cross a natural crevice here. The crevice is tight where it connects to this passage, and it isn't much wider below you, though you can tell it contains some water. Gray with age, the bridge still seems sturdy. At its far end, perhaps 30 feet away, the bridge connects to another landing and a wider chamber with two doors.
OOC1: You can go back and purchase whatever you want as long as it is considered a common item (compared to an uncommon or rare). You might want to heal you all to the maximum. If you decide to rest, you can do it at the inn but the town people might find it strange. The current platform is actually a good resting place as it can be easily defended if needed as the two entry points are single file and an opponent can be seen in advance. Of course, resting will give the tomb robbers and Jukia kidnappers a bigger lead. OOC2: If you decide to go forward, please indicate any skills check, actual marching order and overall strategy for crossing the bridge i.e. how many at a time, at what speed and so on.

"Whatever we decide we should fortify our constitutions," mentions the dwarven wizard.
"Yes," agrees Stadvas in his typical laconic manner.
as DM points out, resting here is an option but we can always press ahead and leave when the healing runs out (which shouldn't be too far in the future!) when we go out, we can get more scrolls/wands of healing and odlin can get some scrolls of offensive magic or even try for a wand of magic missile? getting some healing potions could be an idea too.
but otherwise, i vote to crack on for now which if we do, send the rogue across to check the bridge before the rest follow. Odlin's stonecunning can help him determine if it is a sound stone foundation that the bridge is set upon (in case it might tumble in to the crevice!)
skills: search (for weaknesses or traps), spellcraft to identify any magical spells
marching order: Odlin to have a look at the bridge's foundations, Ryx to do an initial scout across the bridge, Stadvas, once suitably healed, will follow the rogue, then Odlin, then Miriam and finally Augustine?
willing to hear any amendments or alternatives!

Going on until we don't think we can make it through much more sounds good to me. When we go back to town, I need to buy a sling, so I can get some decent damage against skeletons at range. Any of you know of a ranged weapon that does slashing damage?

Hearing the gruff voice of Odlin discussing a plan, with whom, Ryxikor is unsure, either with the group or himself. What Ryx is sure of, his keen hearing picking up the part about sending the rogue across first. Dutifully, the elf shoulders his bow, puts his arrow in the hardened leather quiver and steps forward. He grabs ahold of the hand-rail and gingerly steps out onto the bridge, ready to grab hold of something if the bridge comes loose from either end. He slowly starts to move out as far as he can, while still being carefull. He looks for traps, enemy, any kind of danger, using his keen hearing to aid him too.
he'll move at half pace, being careful

Miriam watches the elf cross, a stern look on her face and her armored hands at her sides, but says nothing.

Odlin inspects the foundation and the cunning dwarf notices that it is a stone one and falling in the pool water would not go without damages.
Augustine uses the wand to heal to get everyone at full health, using 5 charges. The wand has 4 charges left in it.
From a distance, the bridge appears aged but sturdy and made to last. However, when Ryxikor steps on it, he feels that the bridge is unstable and it creaks loudly while bearing weight.
Miriam and Stadvas look at Ryxikor as he moves forward on the bridge.
The elf looks for traps but finds none. He listens for enemy but hears none. He holds the rope rails with both hands and move at a slow pace (half speed). He is able, using hi balancing skills to cross the bridge. When he arrives on the other platform, he notices that the ropes on the bridge look damaged.
The landing on the other side is as follow: smooth stone littered with small bits of broken rock and dirt makes up the floor of this chamber. The door to the northeast is shut and intact but remnants of the west door are propped up against a ruined frame and a badly cracked wall.

He finally steps off the bridge and onto the landing with an exuberant sigh. After inspecting the bridge, Ryx, moves quietly to the closed door, he leans close, pressing his ear up against it, listening for anything. After the closed door, Ryxikor looks through the damaged doorway for anything sign of anything. Finaly the elf moves back to the bridge, he holds up one finger, and tried to whisper, "One at a time, be very careful, rope is damaged." hoping they heard. He then tries to see if there is any way he can repair the rope to make it safer.

OOC: Any one crossing the bridge, I will need to know your speed, if you are using your hands, how much do you weight total and a couple of balance rolls.

Odlin volunteers to cross next. He ties all his equipment closely about him then drops Cheese on the the floor to let the familiar scamper across first.
Then getting on all fours, the wizard crawls across the bridge
Stadvas crosses slowly, edging across with both hands free with careful looks both ways. Kord is surely testing the warrior mettle and he relishes the risky exploit.
Odlin : weight 130wt + 46enc = 176 lbs medium encumbrance balance rolls (on all fours, crawling, 5ft per rnd) balance = d20-2 = (take10) 8
Stadvas: weight 190wt = 160enc = 350 lbs (approx) heavy enc balance (moving quarter speed 5ft/rnd)= d20 -6 = take 10 (4)
If stad cant get across, he will have to crawl and rely on bonuses that way. he can only improve his balance checks by taking his armour off AND for someone else to carry it!

Ryxikor glad to be safe on the far side, slowly pulls his rapier and his dagger from their respective sheaths. Again he uses his inherent keen vision to peer westward, through the ruined doorway. He then moves back to the intact door, leans close, and holds his breath trying to hear anything. The rogue finally stands directly across from the bridge, with his back to the wall between the two doorways, watching his friends cross the dangerous bridge.

Ryxikor goes listening at the closed door but hear nothing. He takes a peak at the broken door and sees the following “Shattered stone and fresh dirt cover the slick floor of this devastated chamber. Judging by the remnants of masonry, and floor tiles, this area was once part of the tomb complex. A rope ladder hangs near the broken door, leading up into the darkness. Just beyond it to the east, the slippery floor gives way to a shallow pool. Odlin goes down on all four and clinging to the bridge and crawls at a slow rate. The ropes gives signs of breaking but they finally hold and Odlin makes it to the other side. Stadvas starts going and when he is always through the bridge, the ropes breaks and the warrior falls into the water, getting damages. Stadvas is getting up when a gelatinous cube which was hiding in the water attacks the warrior. He tries to slam and grapple Stadvas but fails to do so. Stadvas: -4HP damages (Fall) – Currently at 25/29
OOC: THe O next to Stadvas is a ooze.

Stadvas his the water hard. The warrios thinks how unlucky he is then wonders why part of the water has turned to jelly and is attacking him in club-shaped protrusions. He wonders how it could possibly get any worse.
Odlin's heart leaps in to his mouth and his neuroses return, making him shake with fear and concern for his friend's safety.
Odlin will try a spot a way for Stadvas to climb out of the gorge initiative = 14 spot d20+1 = 2
Stadvas tries to get away from the ooze then climb up the sides of the ravine (initiative d20+0 = 12, AC17) move 5ft south (J5) then climb up 5ft (at 1/2 normal speed [accelerated climbing], -5 on check, climb check = +5skill -6 ACP = -1 climb check normally) M: climb d20-6 = -4 , fail, but falls from ground level = no damage and stays at J5
next action, try and climb up again (accelerated climbing, -5 to check but moves at half speed) climb d20-6 = 17-6 = 11 if success then 10ft off the ground above square J5
amended post as stad actually has 5 ranks in climb!

Augustine moves (if necessary and possible) to get a clean shot, and fires two arrows at the ooze. Initiative (1d20 + 3=22)Rapid shot on ooze (1d20+4=9, 1d20+4=19)Only one shot fired if he has to move more than five feet, but +2 on that shot. Damage: 1d8+1 How does it work that poking holes in jello kills it? Oh well, people throw fireballs, I guess sentient lime jello isn't too odd. Is the rope bridge completely split, or just a 10-foot section of the floor gone?
