The only reply Stadvas gives to the dwarf's proposition is a confident smile. He grabs the wine and puts it into his bag. The bag itself, he leaves next to the door so it doesn't get in the way, but it's still close enough to smash, grab and run if that's necessary. He stores his weapon on his person so it can be quickly accessed, puts a dagger between his fingers and grabs the door. He turns around and waits for his companions to get into position.

Stadvas opens the door which was not close. (That was lucky as he did not check to see if it was trapped or locked). The door opens to a square cave (20 x 20) with a small enclave with rubbles on the east side. On the north side is a closed door. In the middle of the room, there are 4 goblins guards sitting around a table playing a dice betting game. Small piles of copper and silver pieces are scattred in the middle of the table. They look very surprised to the door opens but a threatening human.
You have a surprise round as the goblins badly failed their listen checks (and you had +5 because of the locked door). Please post your action for this round and then action for the next round (including initiative). The surprise round will go in the following order: Stadvas, Jukia, Augustine and Odlin (the last two can switch). This is my last post until the first week of september. So I expect good strategic and juicy post when I come back!

Odlin grips his club and prepares to enter the fray!
surprise round..... F: 5ft step north/up, dodge versus G3 S: READY standard action to attack any goblin that enters the square 5ft NW of his new position (so Odlin also gets to do an AoO if the goblin keeps moving south towards Augustine)
round 1.... if any goblins nearby then attack them otherwise move in to room and attack another goblin?
hp7 AC11 or 12

Stadvas storms into the room with heavy, banging steps which echo trough the cave, towards the opposite corner, his large body shooting straight past two of his adversaries. His dagger slips out of his fingers on the way. He stops with his back against the two walls and his right hand quickly finds his weapon.
Move action: Five feet up, five diagonally up and left, ten feet up. Free actions: Drop dagger, quickdraw flail.
((Have I done something wrong? If yes, please tell me. I'm a rookie.))
EDIT: Is that better?

When his firing path is clear, Augustine sends an arrow arching out towards the further of the two goblins he has a clear shot at. Attack on G1 (1d20 + 5=7) damage = 1d8 + 3 Just my luck... The only mistake there is that you only get a partial action during the surprise round, so you will have to hold on to your knife until the first round, unless you just drop it and draw the flail as you move.

The surprised gambling goblin guards cannot believe their eyes as they see Stadvas enters the room and nearly block then exit door. Jukia follows the fighter but it is easy to see that she seems really nervous about that fight. She has a little shake in her eyes that would indicate someone about to pop her combat cherry. Odlin comes in front of his ranger friend, offering him protection in case the monsters decide to attack the archer. Augustine unleashes an arrow but it fails to connect with any of the goblins.
I think I captured your moved for round surprise. Now for round 1, I need INITIATIVE rolls. Thank You.

With a menacing grin, Stadvas sidesteps with his back wide to the wooden door, blocking it entirely with his wide body and making way out for his opponents inaccessible, and in the same movement sways his flail along with himself, in front of him, and at the Goblin he is facing with all the power in his well-muscled arms.
Init: invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1241539Attack: invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1241548I'll use Power Attack now, so substract 1 from that.

The blood pounds in his ears. His vision fades to a memory of a distant battle...
He is alone and so very cold. The darkness wraps him like an unwelcome blanket. Brine sprays spatter him as they dash off the sea rocks within the cavern.
He had to be here so she wouldn't have to, thought the half-elf druid.
Odlin can almost taste the metallic tinge to the air in anticipation of the gore spilling. With a twisted grin he launches himself in to his own cavern of peril.
init = 12 (but delay until after Augustine fires an arrow) hp = 7 AC = 12 (vs G3) or 11 M: move 15' to the square just south of G3 S: melee club attack +0 (1d6) (but if Goblins moves first, stay where I am and hit the Goblins attacking me)
O wise DM! I had planned to actually be one square to the RIGHT of where you placed me (ie. my last move was a 5ft step N instead of NW - sorry that i didnt make this clear) so that I would not be obstructing Augustine's arrows and also able to threaten any goblin who was foolish to charge at the elf

Initiative: Augustine, goblins, Odlin, Jukia, Stadvas Augustine, seeing more of his hated enemies unleashes another arrow but unfortunately the arrow misses again. The first goblin goes for the door but Stadvas, in a master stroke separate the head from the body of the monster (G1 down). The second goblin moves back 10 feet in the alcove and throws his javelin at Stadvas who has just fell his comrade. The javelin penetrates the throat of the fighter, scoring a critical hit on the fighter. The third goblin throws his javelin which penetrates deeply into the dwarf shoulder. The fourth goblin throws his javelin at Stadvas but the aim is high and the javelin break against the stone wall Odlin valiantly attacks G3 but fails to connect. Jukia swings her weapon but misses the goblin badly. Stadvas realizing that the goblins are not rushing for the door attack G2 and his flail makes contact with the goblin, cutting a large dash inside the goblin belly. The monster tries to stay on his feet but it is hemorrhaging too much blood and falls to the ground dying (G2 down). Stadvas: 8HP of damages – Currently at 4/12Odlin: 2HP of damages – Currently at 5/7
OOC: Ilya, I changed Stadvas action because he fell the rushing goblin in one hit and therest of them did not try to run. So I had him on the offense and he ended up killing another one. Cal, I put Odlin in front of Augustine because as a dwarf he would not really create problem for Augustine. I know it is not pure DnD but I still do not get why dwarves are medium creature instead of small.

Augustine nocks another arrow to his string, and sends a much better shot at G3 this time. Attack roll on G3 (1d20 + 5=18) Damage 1d8 + 3 Wow, I thought stadavas was going to get dropped when I read that he got hit in the throat. glad he didn't though.

Odlin braces himself for death but the fletched arrow from the elf drops the goblin in front of him*. He watches the creature writhe in agony and stands there hoping the others will resolve the combat
*i'm assuming Augustine acts first and kills G3? (apologies if i am being presumptuous) If so, he stands there and waits for Jukia and Stadvas to finish off the last goblin, otherwise he will move up and clout G4 with his cudgel.
hp 5 F+3 R+3 W+4 AC11 or 12 versus the nearest goblin
init= delay until after Stadvas M: as above S: as above (melee +0 club, 1d6) M:

The javelin hits his throat, and while taking down his second enemy, the human attempts to ask " A little help, please?" from Jukia. The only noise he manages to create with his damaged vocal cords is a strange, bubbling one. For a moment, the fighter hesitates. In his head, he is trying to find out the risk/reward ratio of any of his possible actions, and quickly, one winner emerges from the battle in his mind about the one going on around him. Stadvas raises his weapon once again, and the previous Gonlin's blood splatters the walls. He brings it down on the opponent he happens to be facing with all the might left in his wounded body, his vision clouded by the pain.
Full attack on G4: Since it proved effective against the last one, I'll use Power Attack again. invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1245965 This has to be a bad joke. A really, really bad joke.

Initiative: Augustine, goblins, Odlin, Jukia, Stadvas
Augustine unleashes an arrow that finally hits, entering throw the eye of the goblin and the metallic head protruding on the other side of the monster skull. It stands there for a couple of second before realizing that its life energy is draining away and falling to the ground (g3 is down).
The last remaining goblin swings its Morningstar in desperate fashion murmuring a few words in goblin. May be Maglubyet heard hit as the Morningstar hits Stadvas hard and deep in the flesh, shattering bones and internal organs. The warrior tries to stay on his feet but can’t and falls to the ground bleeding profusely.
Odlin rushes at the help of Stadvas, swinging his club but failing to make contact. The goblin, feeling powerful after falling the mighty warrior, mocks his attempts.
Jukia runs towards the goblin and swings her mace. The weapon ends up on top of the head of the monster, crashing its skull into a multitude of pieces. Blood and brain splatters the clothes of the beautiful cleric.
She immediately kneels at Stadvas side and asking for her god power, tries to provide healing. As the divine magic transfers to Stadvas, his wounds heal and he regains consciousness. He opens his eyes feeling as good as when he woke up this morning.
Jukia looks visibly shaken but the ordeal, looking at her companions in a scared and confused look.
5HP of damages +14 healing - Currently at 12/12.
End of combat
XP to come
