Augustine looks around nervously, fiddling with his bow while staying covered. "Well?" he whispers, "Stand and fight or run? If we run, do you think we will have time to grab the rest of the loot out of the chapel? I could try to shoot them until they take cover behind a wall, when we could slip away, but they might charge."
I wonder why they decided to remove degrees of cover from 3.5, and just go with half cover, full cover, or no cover. I keep forgetting about that, and think in modern (based off of 3.0) terms.

The once bold dwarf is now unsure. The euphoria that his escape plan actually worked now leaves a void in the mage's thinking where the next step should be "Errrr....." Thinking quickly, Odlin whispers to his companions. "We should leave. If we wait here to set an ambush it gives them time to pull a trick on us like we pulled on them. We could run out. Fool them and then come back through the spider caverns which i think is also secret to them. Going to Bronk's room then 'disappearing' could give away our secret passageway"
Cheese snuffles expectently from the pocket he is riding in. The excitement pounds in the dwarf's ears and his marrow urges him to let fly with caution and rush the goblins in a brave strike.
"Hey! maybe we can taunt them in to coming at us? Maybe discard the table and egg them on? Their pride may be hurting that we eluded them so easily. We could look wounded? What do you think? Can we take them?!"
Excitement rises in the young dwarf eroding his normally cautious countenance. He grabs Augustine's sleeve for encouragement knowing the elf would like to see goblin blood spilled before turning to the others with a hopeful exuberance.

Stadvas' throat makes a thoughtful grumbling sound, after which he says, "I think we should barricade the passage with the table, so only one of them can pass at the same time, then we can take them one by one." He puts his hand on the shoulder of the dwarf, attempting to calm his suddenly eager companion with this simple motion and hoping his enthousiasm won't cause any mishaps, which would be fatal in their current situation. "But I certainly am for taking the risk."

"We fight, then? They will still probably search when they find so many dead, but we can hope they will be too afraid of the spider to search the caves, and if nobody saw us go that way, I doubt anyone will be overly eager to go in there." Augustine hands off his acid flask to anyone who wants it, and pulls an arrow from his quiver, peeking over the table for a moment while revealing as little of himself as possible.

The group, under the protection of the table ponders its options. Odlin and Augustine want to give it a go at the ennemy and Stadvas is ready to agree. Brettnor and Ryxikor are strangely silent.
OOC: Let me know what you will do next. And remember that running away does not mean you will not be pursued.

Odlin mistakes the warrior's gesture as a signal to attack the goblins. The maelstrom of emotions over Jukia's mistreatment has founf an outlet of pain and anguish. With the big man's help he shoves the table against the crossroads to only allow a slim opening.
"Ha! We escaped your trap!" he calls in to the cavern. "Is that the best you can do? Maybe i should go home and let my grandmother beat you with her walking stick."
The dwarf wonders if any of them can translate the tirade

The darkness conceals the irritated look that appears over the warrior's face, but it cannot hide the few whispered words, the only recognizeable one of them being 'Kord'. But, since he can't rewind time, he prepares to make the best of it, namely to kill as many goblins as possible with as little damage to himself, and the others, as possible.

Ryxikor does remain quiet, while he lets the others talk, since they know the layout of the place better than he. All he knows is what he remembers of Jukia telling him, but he does recall 'Bronk' now, remembering her carrying a shield with that name and saying he was dead. Standing back and ready to accept the challenge of the goblins before them, Ryx wants to light the flask of oil and hurl it towards the goblinoids, but he holds his composure to see if they approach.

Augustine takes the actions of his comrades to confirm a choice of fight rather than flight, so he rises and looses an arrow at the goblins, but he misses, arrow shattering when it hits the far wall. Attack on (Hob)Goblin at the end of the hall (1d20 + 5=12)HP 13/15 AC 20 (including +4 from table)

Odlin, in an uncharacteristic way, takes a leadership role and moves the table aside enough to create an opening. He taunts the enemy in common and Ryxikor declines to translate into goblin. Stadvas cringes at Odlin’s action but convinces himself it is perhaps for the better. Ryxikor is ready to fight, waiting for the goblins to move first. He has his flask of oil ready to be lit and thrown. Augustine, always ready to eliminate his favorite enemy, let an arrow fly. The aim is not really good and the arrow crashes against the wall. It is however a wakeup call for the enemy and 4 javelins fly toward Augustine and Odlin who are partially exposed. The first javelin thrown finds it way through the small space between the table and the wall and pierce Odlin’s belly. The other 3 plant themselves on the table or hit the wall. Although in pain, Odlin sees 2 goblins walk through the caldrops and go in the hallway leading to the kitchen. The other two enemies are bigger and look stronger. They are hodboblins and Odlin can see them pour a potion down their throat. Brettnor stays in the back. “does anyone need healing?” Odlin: 3HP of damages – Currently at 10/13

" That all you got!?" shouts the dwarf. He had a fire in his belly now which was beginning to drip down his thigh. " Let them get closer, closer" whispers the mage. " The dwarfhold shall remain fast tonight! the hearth and kin won't be sullied by these underdark cretins." The sound of combat rings in his ears and Odlin imagines his dwarven clan fighting and dying in the darkness around him as the defend their mountain home. Confused he tries to wonder why the ground underfoot is rough and crude, unlike the polished level stonework his home usualy has. When the goblinoids get close enough so that he can catch as many as possible, the dwarf jumps up and deftly weaves an arcane pattern in the air, unleashing a myriad streams of brilliant colours at the enemy. Odlin's eyes are wide, the whites flashing in the torchlight as his mouth twists in to an animal snarl.

The others may hear a quick scratching noise, as Ryxikor follows suit and scratches the tindertwig in his left hand on a metal clasp on his armor, striking it. His deftly holds it to the cloth tied around the flask of oil, then drawing his arm back he lets it fly towards the large brutes. He aims for the one on the right, hoping that if he misses and hits the wall the splatter effect could still get him.

Stadvas quickly swaps his blood-stained flail for his bow, which hasn't had the chance to use yet, and puts an arrow on the string, before raising the weapon, pulling the string back carefully, and, after taking a few seconds to aim his attack, he releases the arrow and lets the bow propel it forward. invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1558462/Initiative =13 Move action: remove flail Free action: quickdraw bow Half-round attack on H1: invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1560358/Attack roll on H1 = 1d20+2 → [19,2] = (21) HP: 17/21 AC: 17
