OOC: Noda, when we met up one of your group had a torch i thought. Brettnor was carrying one at that time, I assume he still is carrying one.

Initiative: Odlin, Augustine, Stadvas, Ryxikor, Enemies, Brettnor Odlin readies a powerful magical spell, waiting for the goblins to attack. Augustine, using the light provided by the torch that Brettnor holds, unleashes one of his arrows. The weapon enters the belly of the hobgoblin to the left, making him scream in anger. Stadvas, not wanting to be outdone by the ranger pulls out his bow and unleashes an arrow. That one too penetrates the armor of the hobgoblin. Another obscenity comes out of his mouth. Ryxikor throws his lit oil flask and hit the goblin to the right in full chest. It yells as a lot of his fur burns and orders the goblins to attack. The two goblins leave their protected area and rush the heroes. Odlin releases his spell and the goblin to the left falls unconscious, blinded and stone. The other one is completely unaffected. Odlin moves past Stadvas after releasing his magic, ready to help the big warrior. The goblin rushes to the table and hide behind it. The two hobgoblins move to the safety of the hallway where the two goblins originally stood. Each pulls out a potion and gets ready to drink it. Brettnor stays in the back, holding the torch, ready t heal anyone that needs it.
OOC: Odlin as the color spray spell ready. OOC2: Please write the damage formula (1dx + y). It saves me a lot of time. Thank you. OOC3: We have a stalemate at this point. Anyone trying to go up and shoot and arrow will be victim of an AoO from the goblin. The hobgoblins cannot hit via arrows or oil flasks. On the other hand, the group is safe too, at least until the table is moved.

Laughing as he hears the scream of the unfortunate hobgoblin who received the flask of burning oil, Ryxikor grabs one of the legs of the western side of the table. "Lets slide this table over, Odlin. Augustine, you and Stadvas have arrows ready, aimed at those two," he says pointing towards the larger goblinoids, "Brettnor, surely you, Odlin and I can kill this little one." Speaking of the one hiding just over the table.

OOC: lets just move the table and go for it.

Stadvas keeps his arrow aimed at the goblins, but, following the given orders, holds his fire, although he seems to hesitate. His eyes move from his target to his allies and back, and he waits for the others to finish doing what they're doing before firing.

Initiative: Odlin, Augustine, Stadvas, Ryxikor, Enemies, Brettnor Odlin readies himself to help Stadvas strike the enemies. Augustine takes a step back, really to unleash his arrow toward his favorite enemy. Stadvas, his shot ready, delays firing his arrow based on what the other would do. Ryxikor, confident in the ability of the group to defeat the opposition swing the table to the side opening the hallway for the fight. Augustine let his arrow fly but surprised by Ryxikor’s move failed to connect with the goblin. Stadvas also surprised let his arrow flow and he is very lucky he does not hit one of his friends. The goblin moves forward and attacks Augustine and hit him with his Morningstar. However the shot is not very good and only scratch the elf. The first hobgoblin shots its javelin toward Stadvas but fails to connect. The second one rushes and attack the warrior with its Morningstar. The hobgoblin looks stronger and more powerful than you would expect as if temporary magic was making him stronger. He hits Stadvas quite hard bruising the warrior muscle and flesh. Brettnor takes a step back, visibly horrified by what just has happened. He yells “I can heal you, I can heal you” Augustine: 1HP of damages – currently at 12/15 Stadvas: 5HP of damages – currently at 12/21

The words " Luminous idea..." come out of the warrior's mouth difficultly because of the pain. He places his bow back on his back, drawing his flail with same movement and raising it to return the attack to his opponent. Figuring that opponent won't be an easy target to hit, he does not sacrifice any precision for damage, although he might have been able to afford it.
Move action: remove bow. Free action: quickdraw flail. Half-round action: attack on H1. invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1569664/1d20+5 → [19,5] = (24) (Aww come on, almost a natural 20...) Damage roll = 1d10. HP = 12/21 AC = 17

Glad to have the table out of the way, but surprised at the hobgoblins charge, Ryxikor decides to act quickly. The elf lunges forward, reaching out with the point of his rapier, aimed at the exposed goblin as he is concentrated on Augustine. Seeking a vital spot on the goblinkin with his beautifully crafted rapier.

Blood pounding in his ears, Odlin peers beyond the sturdy frame of his big warrior friend. He prepares to unleash a cantrip with a surge of magic, causing light to spark in front on the nearest Hobgoblin hoping to prevent it hurting his comrade although he savours the prospect of setting about the goblin with his cudgel. The choices cause him to pause and ponder how the battle will unfold.
Delay until after Stadvas' attack. PLAN A (If H1 is still standing after Stad's attack) cast FLARE www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/flare.htm on it, otherwise PLAN B (If H1 is dead) move to J7 to protect Brettnor then swing at G2 with his club (moving will trigger an AoO when leaving I7) melee+2 (1d6) AC16 vs G2 hp 10/13 F+3 R+3 W+5

Initiative: Odlin, Augustine, Stadvas, Ryxikor, Enemies, Brettnor
Odlin, fully aware that Stadvas is a better fighter and strategist than him, delays his action to see what the big guy does.
Augustine takes one steps back and fires another arrow. This time is aim is perfect and the arrow enters throw the forehead of the goblin and the arrow head stick out on the other side of the monster skull. It falls on the ground in a pile of blood.
Stadvas, tired to being hit by these monsters swing his flail with extreme anger and the mass of spiky metal crushes the face of the hobgoblin. It falls to the ground while yelling its pain right before dying.
Ryxikor waits for the last enemy to make his move. The monster rushes toward Augustine, passing by Ryxikor. The elf takes tries to take advantage of the opportunity but the monster armor deflects the attack.
The monster hits Augustine real hard, the Morningstar crushing bones and muscles. Blood start poring from his face.
Ryxikor moves behind the goblin and flanking it perfectly, pierces the monster heart with his well crafted rapier. The monster falls to the ground without a sound.
Odlin smiles, happy to have not had to use the spell he had prepared.
Brettnor approaches Augustine and activates the wand that was originally used by Jukia. Some of the ranger wounds heal.
The hallway is silent again except for the loud breathing of the goblin that Odlin rendered unconscious, blind and stunned.
Augustine: -8HP of damages + 4HP of healing– currently at 8/15

Stadvas produces an end of rope from his backpack, and, holding it, walks toward the goblin and kneels down next to it. "Who can tie him up?" he asks, waving the rope in the air and looking at his comrades. "Because if we needed any information, this is the perfect opportunity."

Still in pain from the morningstar, Augustine swallows uncharacteristically harsh language. "Ow... Ow... OW! That hurt. I don't have any special training or anything, but I can tie him up if nobody knows good knots."

using Stadvas rope, Augustine ties the goblin. When he finally comes back to his sense, he looks at first relieved to be still alive but immediately is scared out if his mind when he realizes that he is a prisoner and the two powerful hobgoblins are dead. Ryxikor is able to translate what the goblin says. "Please, please you not kill me. Me not hating humans. Me good goblin. Me good trader. Me forced to fight by Noak and Darax. Urtarr and Rutven not happy with noak but afraid of Noak like. You not kill me."

Stadvas turns to the dead hobgoblins with a somewhat cruel victorious smirk. Pointing, he asks Ryxikor, "Tell him that if he doesn't want to join those two, he'll have to answer some questions... First of all, who are Norak and Darax supposed to be ?" Turning away, he mumbles, "Kord, please don't let them be two dragons.... please."

The little man brims with pride at the brave counterattack from his comrades. He sighs with relief as he sees Augustine's wounds begin to heal under Brettnor's care. His eyes refocus on the carnage, letting the dwarven figments fade in to the ether and the sound of war recede to his memories. Part of his psyche wonders how mighty and majestic dwarven halls can transform so quickly to an forgotten underground warren but it is quickly forgotten.
He helps the others drag the corpses to the makeshift mortuary that was previously Bronk's room. A cheery smile plays across his face and Odlin even hums happily to himself as he is lost to his own thoughts. For a moment he thinks of Jukia when he sees a battered gorey goblinoid and fire starts to rise in his veins before he returns to the work at hand.
Now they have a prisoner, the wizard looks forward to exacting information or revenge.
i suggest we move to Bronk's room for now?
