Odlin nods approvingly at the mention of Kord. Quickly he sketches out his ideas and briefly mentions, " We need answers, the village of Barrows Edge are troubled by goblin raids when once there was harmony."

"Answers? We can get answers, only one of them needs to be alive for that though." He thinks, but doesn't add, And he doesn't have to stay alive once he has given us some answers.

"Then for your sakes you had best pick the smartest to be left alive. Otherwise I doubt we'll get much out of the incident except a potential problem with the locals as we come closer to their territory." The druid snorts slightly, attention gauged closer on the scene ahead.

Augustine moves forward a few feet, putting itself into a position where he can easily shoot at his dreaded enemies. Under the leadership guidance of Odlin, the rest of the group, guided by Stadvas, tries to approach the goblins on the other side. Kyrian seems a little skeptical as getting involved of fighting them, even if she has seen elf brothers being horribly murdered. The group does a good job being stealthy until a goblin decides to look at the horizon to admire the mid-day sun. It sees the group and point at it while yelling to its comrades. They take position near the cart, having raised their javelin and ready to shoot at the group when it will be within striking distance. They did not point at Augustine who is nicely hidden in the bushes.
OOC: I used the tactics thread for placement OOC2: Sorry but I rolled a 20 on the 3rd goblin spot check. OOC3: If you are going to attack, I will need initiative roll (unless you want to use the one you already rolled). If you are going to parlay, I do not need initiative roll. YET!

"Let's keep going!" shouts the dwarf, indicating the wagon where they might take refuge. Cheese clings nervously to the pocket he is riding. Odlin's taut form seems friable and delicate but his face is as solid and stern as stone.
As they move he addresses the vitriolic naturist, "you want to talk? well hurry before blood gets spilled!"
Now we will see their intentions
S: Total DEfence action (+4 dodge bonus to AC) M: move to K14 (20ft) as long as Stadvas keeps moving
init = same as Stadvas hp 7 AC 15 or 16 versus G3

Running by his smaller companion with a nod to his words, Stadvas' tall, muscled and shiny figure moves forward, and makes a similar manoeuvre, standing in front of him once again. Judging by the opponent's distance and speed, he forms an idea of how the fight will go, decides to put the dagger back where he kept it before, and draws his flail, preparing to attack the goblins when they come within reach.

Shaking her head, Kyrian mutters darkly in Goblin, before following, keeping on the defensive, spear gripped for if any come too close. 'Talk while I have a chance? Hah! More like I'll probably have to save your sorry selves when you get into something you cannot handle!'
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 = 18 --to see what their reaction is toward the group. if not too hostile, she will attempt to speak.
Otherwise: HP: 8/8 AC: 14 Init: 1d20 + 2 = 18
S: Total Defense action (+4 to AC) M: move to J14 AC: 18 (hope i'm doing this right)

Although Kyrian offered to parlay, she became suddenly aware that the goblins don’t seem to want a peaceful solution to the current situation. She hears them say ‘fire at will’. She follows the two men in front of her, who provide some cover but limit her pace. Stadvas and Odlin advance toward the wagon and the goblins and right when they are within striking distance, the goblins throw their javelin. They focus on Stadvas because he looks the most dangerous. The burly dwarf, with his cudgel, does not inspire much fear to the goblins. Two of the javelins fly wide but the third one find a weakness in the armor and rips some of the warrior flesh and muscle. Right after throwing their javelins, the goblins move back 30 feet to keep the heroes from striking distance. Augustine has his excuse for shooting and fires his arrow at G1 who he has identified as the leader. The aim is true and strikes the goblin perfectly through the eyes. He grabs his head, side step a couple of times prior to falling to the ground. The two other goblins look around to see who has shot and killed their leader but cannot determine where the arrow came from. Stadvas: 2 hp damages – Currently 10/12
OOC: I delay Augustine action until he knew if the goblins wanted to talk or now. Next round will follow initiative rolls unless character delays action.

With a worried frown, Odlin looks to his taller companions. "Well they aren't friendly and they're getting away."
The dwarf's demeanour seems to be deflated, some of the fight leaving him. However, with a start he realises, "we only need one, maybe the leader can be saved before he succumbs to his wounds? Sure he might not be able to see very well but we only need him to talk?"
With mounting trepidation he looks up at his comrades. "what do you think?"

"Depends." the human answers briefly after a short groan about his wounds. "If they're retreating and want to evade this fight at all costs, we should chase them.But. if they want to fight, and they stand their ground, they'll get an advantage. I'd go ahead and take that chance." At the last words, his eyes squint a little, and a smirk appears on his face while he looks at his opponents, probably at the thought of revenge for his wounds.
DM Question: Are you moving toward the Goblins? If yes, where? and please roll initiative or I will use Odlin roll as you two are moving in unison

Augustine bursts from cover, moving south and slightly east (M9), and fires off an arrow at G2. Attack roll on G2 (1d20 + 5=9, 1d8 + 1=6)Meant to just identify the leader, so that I could keep him alive. Oh well. Hopefully the one we get alive will know something useful.

Emboldened by his comrades' valour, Odlin clutches his shillelagh tightly.
"Okay, let's do this!" [in dwarven] "Rof threah dan droah!"
The wizard runs at the goblins with feral abandon.
F: run to U14 (heading straight down clockwise of the wagon)
hp7 AC11 or 12 (vs G3)Dodge feat against G3

The goblins seem to wait for the heroes to move. The group runs toward the monsters but their approach is limited by the wizard short legs. Augustine jumps out of his cover and runs toward his hated enemies. He shoots an arrow at them but the goblin deflects it easily with his shield. Now that the heroes are within striking distance, the two remaining goblins throw their second javelin (a third and last one is visible at their back). Both are aiming at Stadvas. The first javelin ricochets on his armor but the second one found another weakness in his armor and pierces him for more bloody damages. After throwing their javelin, the goblin move back 30 feet. Stadvas: 2HP damages – Currently at 8/12
I adjusted the proposed movement location to reflex limitations due to a) the wagon, be all 3 of you moving together and c) maximum movement for Odlin is 8 squares (running on these dwarven legs).
