Flattered by Stern's remark, Stadvas smiles even broader. "Good thing we can tip the odds in our advantage then, isn't it?" he comments, half to everyone, half to Augustine. He grabs the money from his pocket, and begins contemplating something. He turns to his smaller friend, responding to his reaction, "Yeah, alright." Finally, he buries his coins back to where he kept them before.
OOC: To Achilles: Yeah, good to be back. It didn't take a lot of time to read them, it did to understand everything, though... P.S. It's Jukia, not Julia, I think...
To Achinca: Works with me.

Augustine, in response to hearing Stern's comment about Jukia, raises an eyebrow and repeats "'Social life.' Well, we could likely use the help, and given that she lives out here, I imagine she is competent, so I believe I speak for all of us when I say we would be glad to have her."

Thanking Stern, and after allowing his comrades to buy any gear with their new riches, Odlin goes to speak to Maillie again
"M'lady. One of our numbers is badly wounded and I fear is unable to progress further on this trek. She might be a little acerbic but she can heal too but we can't wait until she is fit if the threat from the goblins is to be tackled."
The wizard takes a deep breath and plunges headlong in to his gambit. "Perhaps, we could take you present healer, Jukia and leave you Kyrian instead until we return. With your blessings. It would help both our causes."
The dwarf was practical enough to accept the matriarch's decision. At least they had Augustine and the healing wand.

Mallie seems amused but also relieved when the group asks for Jukia. "Well, boys, I mean men, I just hope you know what you getting yourself into. She is a lovely person but she is quite spirited. She is, how would I say, a free thinker. I am concerned about leaving Barrow's Edge without a fully trained cleric. Let me think about your request. I will talk with the elder. May be Zlak will arrive and that will solve your problems." At that moment, a human woman comes in, wearing a priestess outfit which has been modified to show her enhancing assets. The robes have long cut for the entire length of her legs. The sleeves have been cut off and the cut at her neck is lower that you will find a lot maid wearing in some taverns. She has hay pocking out of her hair and she has a huge smile all over her face. She is playing with her holy symbol while asking Mallie why she was called for. Mallie explain the situation and Jukia spend her time looking at Stadvas and Augustine, a libertine smile never leaving her face. She then nods to Mallie and goes to the temple to see the injured.
Mallie looks at the group, half amused and half apologetic "Well this is Jukia in all her glory. The funny thing is that she can really conduct divine magic very well. At this point, you might want to get some rest. The offer still stands. If you need gears, Stern will have anything you want."
If you are going to make purchases, let me know. Also you still have an unidentified wand and scroll.

"I think I'll take the odds..." Stadvas mutters as she comes in. Even more silent, he chuckles and adds, as the hay hasn't escaped his attention." A date in the hay, eh?" He decides to see if his looks are as much of a trump as Zlak said they'd be, he greets Jukia, now louder, with a broad smile crossing his face. "Hello... I believe you're Jukia, the cleric of the village... My name is Stadvas, these are Odlin and Augustine. We've been recruited by Zlak to see if we can help with the problem." Putting all his cards on the table, he continues, "We were hoping you could help us, using your healing abilities... Of course, we'd need permission for that first..." His last words are accompanied by a look at Mallie.
I'm quite confident I've got everything I need and much more... Except for a replacement for the fourth companion.

Awkward Odlin is grateful to have the chance to slip in to Stadvas' shadow when the frisky acolyte enters. He nods assent to inviting Jukia along for the ride.

Augustine buys another days worth of travel rations, to make up for the ones he ate on the road to Barrow's Edge. He also makes a mental note to try to keep Jukia from the front line, as even leathers like he wears offer more protection than what she does.

Jukia smiles real wide at Stadvas "yes, a date in the hay is my favorite pass-time" She gives a naughty look at Mallie who is simple disheartened by the statement. Then Jukia gives a sexy wink at Augustine and adds "I would love to play with you, both of you but I have some healing to do." She leaves the inn not answering the heroes many questions.
Mallie looks at the group and says "I think you should go and rest."
The following morning, as everyone recovers from the previous day (+1hp all), MAllie is buzy running the inn at the group comes down. "Zlak is not back yet, so Jukia is staying. We cannot be without a cleric. I have had some food packed for you, courtesy of Stern." There are 3 piles of rations on a table, enough to last each one of you 5 days.
Odlin, please let me know if you change the spell you memorized. Please let me know of anyone not at full XP

Odlin sleeps well that night although he occasionally tosses and turns, muttering under his breath some fanciful story about being aboard a ship full of non-evil heroes on a quest.
The next day he washes his face and beard, feeds Cheese and then prepares some spells. Taking the scroll they found from the druid, he casts Read Magic upon it after deciding that Jukia may have other things on her mind this morning.
DM Edit: THe scroll is a scroll of Charm Animal. Let me know if you want to keep it or sell it.
Well at least I'll find out if it'll do her or Augustine more good.
Packing his gear he goes down to meet Maillie with the others.
With wide open eyes, he quickly takes the 5 days of rations and adds it to his solitary reserve, mouth watering with anticipation of dry beef jerky.
He's ready. As ready as he ever will be.
keep the scroll of Charm Animal as part of the party loot, Augustine can carry it and use it for the party's needs just as he is carrying the wan of cure light wounds as i doubt he will want to use up a share of his treasure on such a weird spell. if needs be, we can sell it later if we need to buy the party something.

After a good night of rest, the group eats a hearty breakfast and leaves Barrow's Edge toward their destination, the two dolmens. The group is disapointed that the hamlet did not provide them with more help but it is part of being an adventurer. After they have walked for 15 minutes, they see a woman, wearing a chain mail armor, a mace hanging from her belt and a shield on her back. She has a holy medallion around her neck and is playing with her hair. She is sitting on a tree stump. When she sees the group, she gets up and give them the most welcoming smile. Jukia is taking her time, looking at all 3 men. "Hola gentlemen! I would told that you definitively needed my help on your journey. Things have been kind of quiet in town so I decided to lend you some of my expertise." She winks as she ends her sentence.

With another five rations in his already quite full backpack, Stadvas leaves the village with a slight sense of dissapointment, but, as he sees the figure of Jukia appear, his face moves, first to a calculating smile, but then, as they aproach her, shifts to a friendly one before, as he begins speaking, vanishing. "Well, good morning..." he greets her. "It really is a pleasure to meet you here, and that is good news... though I suspect the people back in the village will miss you." His last words partially express the concern he feels about what their relations with Barrow's Edge will be if they take their cleric, especially since she was supposed to stay there. But, all of this stays on the inside for the moment. "By the way," he adds, making a hand motion towards her mace, "Nice equipment..."

Odlin becomes rather nervous and throws quick glances back the way towards Barrows Edge
"Jukia! What are you doing! The hamlet needs you! You shouldn't run off like this..."
The wizard is torn between doing what is right for the hamlet and what's best for the party. However his objections quickly give way to the will of the others.
"You'll have your bow hands full Augustine. Maybe Jukia should carry the healing wand now?"

Jukia smiles a desarming smile as she hears Odlin objections. "Do not worry about it Master Dwarf. Barrow's Edge will survive without me. I need a change of air. Apprarently, there are certain things someone should not be doing to a groom the night before his wedding. Something about keeping his stamina for his bride or something."
She starts walking with the group and when Stadvas mention her equipment, she moves her hips salsa style "Oh yes. I do have a very nice equipment."
"So gentlemen, what are your names and where are we going? This is a long way back to civilization and you guys are going the wrong way."
OOC: Jukia will take the wand from Augistine if he gives itto her OOC2: Buy the way, if you do not know me, my characters and NPC are seldom straight forward. So don't be surprise if there is more to Jukia than the ditzy libertine.....

"Well, if I hold it, then we have two people capable of healing, in case one of us gets pinned down by enemies. Am I missing anything?"

Odlin thinks.
After chewing his lip for a minute he remarks, "I am Odlin the Terramancer and we are seeking the goblin tribe that's been harassing your hamlet.
I think Jukia should have the wand because she is more likey to be able to move about the battlefield healing the front line combatants.
Master Augustine, your talents will mean that you won't have the luxury of stopping your attacks to come to the aid of a fallen ally. Besides, you can always pick it up from her dead corpse if the situation arose."
Odlin suddenly stops, abashed at his blunt rudeness. "Sorry. Just thinking practically."
Stepping aside he intently studies a pattern of stones on the trail
