Yes, I stand corrected on the camo paint. But I believe i order for it to be effective it must be applied all over not just on armor. So you would need to paint your face and hande also.
As for the softer soles. 2 things, softer soles=less protection for the soles of your feet. There wil be rocks, some sharp, that we step on in the underdark, you could possibly slow us down, especially if we're being chased. The other thing is the cost doesnt seem right. +2 bonus for softer soles but Boots of Elvenkind give a +5 bonus and cost 2500 gold, why would anybody ever buy boots of elvenkind if your gonna give a +2 bonus so cheaply.
BTW Ryx will be last in line, guarding the rear. If no-one posts their place in line, the DM has the right to do so.

Good pint about the cost. On the other hand, cost are not always logical in DnD. A MW weapon gives you +1 and cost 300GP. A magical +1 give cost you 1000.
REhardog te cost, MW tools are priced at 50. It is the idea Now let's see if this work. If I feel Augustine is getting too much of an advaage, I keep the right to take the equipment away.
Regarding the marching order, I like the DMPC to be the last one (as a cleric can hit and has more defense). However, f you insist, Ryx can be last. Who will be first? Stadvas or Augustine? Odlin is in the middle.

Odlin like to keep close to his "big brother" even though he isn't a fighter, so he can help out. if someone else wants to get in to the fights too, Odlin will then take a step back

i'm just posting this clue here for future reference! ;D
If you want to locate someone, talk to Es Sarch. You can find him in the Dripstone Inn on the Street of Five Hanged, directly north three blocks from Pedestal's southern gate. He knows everything about the City, but he's sure to want something in return for his help

So, would I have to buy a separate kit for each setting? One for underground, one for woodlands, jungles, and wet grasslands, one for deserts, dry grasslands, and other places where light brown is the decorator's favorite color?

no. One kit has 5 sets and you pick these 5 sets.

just a suggestion, but I've noticed someone in this grouop has a brand new wand of longstrider. Now just pretend he was to use a charge on each of us, now wouldn't that give each of us another 10' of speed??

If someone wants to try I am fine with it. I do not know how the extra speed would translate on a jump though.

Your Jump check is modified by your speed. If your speed is 30 feet then no modifier based on speed applies to the check. If your speed is less than 30 feet, you take a -6 penalty for every 10 feet of speed less than 30 feet. If your speed is greater than 30 feet, you gain a +4 bonus for every 10 feet beyond 30 feet.
Achinca thats from the link that cal posted just a few posts before yours, scroll up a bit in the game thread

So if i'm not mistaken, that would mean cal doesn't get the -6 penalty, and stadvas gets +4 bonus added to his jump. Thats just how I read it, but I'm usually wrong around here.
