Taliea continues toward the bridge, now running at full speed (or attempting to in the unforgiving snow).

the brilliant pea-sized speck shot towards the approaching ice storm before detonating with a soft WHOOMPH!
However its impact doesnt seem to do more than slow the burrowing juggernaut momentarily. In that briefest of pauses a glimpse can be gleaned of a dark stalk like projection tipped with a purple crystalline sense organ that shoots up momentarily before diving beneath the ice and snow
Then it starts again, building up momentum. Churning up the landscape, building up its defensive cloud of ice chunks.
Up above, and unseen to the people below, Bittersnap hovers with astonishment.
That short one created fire! Oh!
The dragon thought better of it and began to wing away from this fight. If there were trinkets to be had then they would be there later. The 'thing' wasn't the only one who could burrow through ice. There were some frozen ice bears to gnaw on to pass the time. The wyrm didn't want to admit that even the 'thing' scared it. Nothing scared Bittersnap. Nothing had for over a hundred years.
taliea 810ft barendd 780ft alyanna 750ft theo & dogs 720ft kerzeme 690ft kurt 500ft the 'thing' circa 1100-1200ft, submerged ALL distances are from the bridge, including that given for the monster.

Barrend continues running, but his haste slows him down even further, and he begins to wonder if he would have been better off like he was.
F: attempt to run 120 feet: 1d20=2, 1d20=5, 1d20=9, 1d20=17Ends up moving 30 feet.

Trying to keep the dogsled moving, Theodorre looks over his shoulder to see the smirk on Kerzeme's face and hear his continuing insults. After the sorceror's fireball, the half-elf yells, "Is that all you know, fireballs? Hahaha Whats wrong? Is your little mind incapable of grasping too many spells?" Then he notices, because of his dallying, the others are catching up to him and the dogs. If any start to pass him, Theo yells out, "Run along side and help guide these wild dogs.".
move action: handle animal 1d20(5)+2=7 move action: handle animal 1d20(6)+2=8 plus any bonuses from help of others You've got to be kidding me, those rolls suck!

"Just Fireballs?" For a moment, different feelings appear inside Kerzeme. Among them are the desire to explain why Fireball is the best spell ever conceived by magic users, proving it with a practical demonstration on the wizard's face and just letting him be eaten by the creature with his apparent difficulty to deal with the dogs. The last idea, he abandons because even he realizes that no powerful magical liquid means no money. Then, suddenly, something dressed in a colourful robe catches his eye. "Aren't you the brilliant one." Kerzeme looks at the copies surrounding him with a smirk. The only answer his relatively smart companion gets for its wise is an "Yeah, yeah... Fly along." and a dismissing wave of the hand.
He makes his way back through the snow, while continuing their small conversation by adding "Even the dogs obviously don't want to have anything to do with you. Now, let me drive, and stay out of it. By the way, I don't recall you doing anything about the big thing chasing us?"
Move action: move 30 ft. back. Move action: Get back on the sled.

Alyanna makes good progress through the snow, keeping up with the ranger as they escape the monster bearing down upon them
alyanna run (3 successes = 90ft) taliea run (3 successes = 90ft) thought i'd make a post to avoid delaying the game. Apologies to she-elf but i assumed she is going to keep running until either the monster catches her or she makes it to the bridge. send me a PM if you have other views on the matter ;D

Kurt looks over his shoulder.
The thing was approaching quickly. Too quickly.
A battle would be won on more favourable terrain and the small bridge and the giant monster were obvious factors to exploit. The half-orc smiled as he jogged to the bridge. At least the short man would take over the dogs for now and maybe rescue the sled from certain doom. And if not? Well, the rogue didn't like leaving too much to chance and hoped his precautions would prove fruitful.
A new idea began to grow and the warrior broke in to a run, hoping to reach the bridge quickly.
Kurt; run x4 = 4 successes = 160ft
the 'thing' about 950-1000ft, submerged and surrounded with a swirling cloud of ice chunks barendd 750ft taliea 720ft alyanna 660ft theo & dogs 720ft kerzeme (who had to retreat 30 feet to help out with the dog sleds! what a brave hero; gain 30xp) 720ft kurt 340ft
ALL distances are from the bridge, including that given for the monster.
an intelligent character like Theo would understand that Kerzeme is much better at handling the dogs than the wizard, who instead could aid another.

Kerzeme gets in the driver's position and encourages the animals to get moving. At first, they listen to their new commander, and he turns around, explaining that "This is the way to treat animals, you amateur. Next time let someone with knowledge of how to take care of things do them..." in the process completely ignoring that he can't move the animals another 30ft. by himself.
'Brave'? Eh, sure, if you want to look at it like that...
Roll 1: 1d20+5=15+5 Roll 2: 1d20+5=4+5=9 +2 from Theo = 11 = success! doncha lurv teemwurk!

The wizard continues to struggle with the dogs. Once he notices Kerzeme turning around and making his way back to the dogsled, he yells out, "NO, wait, theres not enough room for all of you!" He says to Kerzeme and his magicaly created images. After he's done laughing at the joke and Kerzeme, Theodorre pulls a piece of cured leather and quickly casts a spell. Once the wizard has his spell in place he does what he can to help with the sled.
standard action: cast mage armor move action: aid another 1d20=18, +2 to aid kerzeme
edit: casting a spell while riding the sled, just in case you want a concentration check: 1d20(18)+11=29

Left blank deliberately.
Yeah, I'm aiming to get the bridge. Thanks for taking over and keeping the game moving. If I can get a few shots in safely I'd like to do that too, I will try to post more frequently.

Barrend continues to run, and continues to not go very quickly, his armor slowing him in the shifting snow.
Full: 1d20=6, 1d20=13, 1d20=4, 1d20=15Moves 60 feet in total. I'm about to start college again, so if I forget to post while we are still running, just assume that he keeps running, he has a +3 bonus to balance from dexterity but a -3 penalty from his armor, so it evens out to 1d20.

The thing could sense the hot blooded creatures were near. Its thought were confused and clouded, causing it to be driven onwards by instinct and the need to destroy. The snow and ice was getting thinner, making it harder for it to burrow so quickly. It would have to climb out eventually it thought.

Taliea keeps heading to the bridge, figuring it was their only hope. She tried to come up with a plan, but without being able to see what exactly was chasing them that was no easy task. It seemed like it may be too much for them to take on in any case. Just keep moving, she told herself.
Full Round: Run Balance: 1d20+4=5, 12, 20, 10

Kerzeme keeps the dogs moving away from the monster. He takes a look over his shoulder, and, realizing that this might not go as easily as he had expected, asks, "Hey, bookworm. Could you do something about the big thing catching up to us? Like fire something at it?"
Keeping the dogs moving: 1d20+5: 14+5=19 1d20+5: 8+5=13
