Dear All,
I'm going to be away from the internet for longer than originally expected. I'm having to devote my time to an important (at one point critical and near-fatal) family situation and if I'm still sane and get any sleep i'll be back to get back in to my games.
Hoping it won't be more than 4-5 more days.
Your patience is greatly appreciated.
Cal

I think I am getting close to a situation where I can devote some time back to PbP RPG.
I'm usually a private individual but to put everyone in the picture, my gorgeous wife went in to labour. Everything was fine at the start but it eventually turned in to an unexpected stormy situation* and we very nearly lost our daughter +/- mother. i found it a very traumatic experience because i could see the difficulties but had to remain strong to support my wife.
However, both mother and darling daughter are now home and doing well. never thought i'd be spending my nights with two gorgeous girls again.
two days later, my longest friend lost his father to cancer. the funeral is tomorrow.
It is going to take a while for me to read up on what i have missed and get back in to the game but i'm glad for everyone's support.
Love and peace,
Cal
* the details are a bit complicated but it was a mixture of foetal distress and lack of medical cover because of a simultaneous emergency in the maternity unit.

Cal, congratulations on becoming a dad! Both of my kids delivery were complicated but now we joke about it. Good thing you do not require much sleep!
And sorry about your friend's dad. It is sadly the circle of life.
Take your time coming back.

Congrats and great news to hear ^_^ Glad you and your family are safe and sound. I'm sorry to hear of the loss amidst the joy, but I'm glad the joy is a big batch regardless.
Be well and safe, and warm wishes from this corner of the world
Magus (& Chibi)
