How about Cal 2 and Ilya 3. IF Noda and She-elf join they can be 4 and 5. But Noda, we will need DAILY posting from the DM!!!!!

Can I call spot 5? That'll give me time to write something up from scratch as I haven't even started thinking about my campaign yet :S

I was a DM once, on LotMF. Wasn't pretty. I think one or two of you might have been in it. I'm really not DM material.

actually, i really enjoyed your game Nodaisho. i thought you had a masterful way of setting a scene. one of the most vivid games i've ever played on PbP.
if you ran another campaign i'd certainly push my way in to the queue to play (not something i'd say to everyone)
and besides it's only for 2 or 3 encounters (and if you notice that puff already has put us through one encounter already, the trap, then it's not a big ask is it?)
looking forward to your stint in the DM's chair.
EDIT: i shall be gallant and take the number 2 spot instead of asking noda to pick it

Cal, always the elegant gentleman.
Noda, what was your game in LOTMF?
I agree wtih Cal regarding DMing. A short adventures is much easier to handle for a lot of people rather than a long canpaign with people dropping and having to recruit. Here, you will have to do 2-3 rooms (unless you want to do more) and it will be fun.
In you I believe, Noda.

Okay, I'll take the fourth slot, then. I need to think of something, I'm currently busy, but I should acclimate to the increased course load pretty soon, and get back to writing. Now I'll just be writing something more people will read. Anyone got an objection to a western-ish atmosphere? I'm thinking Cal ought to be okay with that, what with him having had Clint Eastwood as his avatar for who knows how long (Is that pale rider?)
What do you all use for making grids? I had the issue of not being able to make any, so my descriptions were poor. I also tended to go a bit easy on the players, they got most of the orcs while they were asleep, out of luck. Their solution of silencing and then fireballing the winter wolf was pretty ingenious, though.
Mine was some module I got off the wizards website, for 5th level. Don't remember too much, I think I tried to block it out out of shame.

I remember that game. I felt it went well. didn;t you complete it?
I will run a pre-set module myself so feel free to do the same Noda. If time is a contrants, use someone else works with your own adjustment.

I remember that game. I felt it went well. didn;t you complete it? Actually, I didn't. I was not happy with it at all, I felt I had screwed up badly, made it too easy, wasn't able to communicate what was happening with the players, so I picked a stopping point. All that was left was the boss encounter (if they had found it, behind the fortress in a cave).

Making a game too easy can be as bad as making it too hard. It is about the balance which is why I used pre-written modules. I t hink you underestimate your DM abilities NOda. But that is just me.
