Political: The Kingdom of Cougoulins is a massive kingdom. The capital is Antiboul which stands at the center of the kingdom. The control of the kingdom is split among a few dukes who have all sworn allegiance to the King.
Geography: The kingdom border ends in the south at the Sea of Dalmar. On the west, there is a large desert, called the Desert of Misery as no one that has ever adventured in it ever returned. There are some large mountains to the North which are considered impassable and are called the Mountains of Doom. A very dense and scarcely populated huge forest, the Black Forest is the border on the east. The kingdom itself is a mix of developed lands and forest, vibrant cities and ruins.
Population: Humans are the most visible in the cities and all the political power is held by humans (only humans can be king or duke). However, other races are well integrated and there are large agglomeration of dwarves, elves and halflings. There is no tolerance for monsters races such as orcs, goblins and kobolds in the big cities but little villages and towns have had peaceful relationship with these non humanoid races.
History: Given its natural protection, the kingdom has been at peace for ever. No ones really know what lies behind the natural borders and very little people care. Although political intrigues have shaped the political fight for power, the kingdom has been at peace with itself. Occasional threats such as cultists or rogue nobles were properly handled by the Royal Army. Everything seems nice and quiet in the kingdom.
Religion: All religions with an emphasis on Good or Order are welcome and protected. In addition, race specific religions are encouraged.
