I'm actually in Kentucky, which is only 30 min north of Tennessee. I was wondering about the great britian thing cause, a friend of mine sold her big heart shaped diamond ring on the internet. And got ripped off, the ring is now in great britian. I thought maybe cal did it, no I'm just kidding. I was thinking of seeing if someone could help in some way. But I dont think it would be possible. Whoever picks it up has to pay a fee, she said the cops dont think the scammers will wanna pay, so it could possibly be sent back to the sender.

Yeah, I'm from Colorado. The scots stay in the UK because the best ones already moved to the US centuries ago. That sucks about the ring, I hope your friend can get it back.

i've been refused entry to the staten island ferry while wearing my kilt.
i was explaining to the guard that i was wearing a kilt, a t-shirt, socks, boots, a big metal buckle on my belt and a leather sporran but he refused to believe me until i took the buckle off and sent it through x-ray (not an easy feat, must be from the epic handbook) as i had set off the metal detector
odd trying to have a conversation with a guard and a horde of tourists enquiring about the tartan at the same time!

Pardon a lurker invading ^_^ But I do enjoy reading the threads around here from time to time. It's rather interesting to find out things about acquaintances.
Since y'all already said where you're from, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to add my two cents. I've lived in a few different places and collected the accents to prove it. Favorites include the Bruce Peninsula (Ontario), Sedona (AZ), among others. My only other clue to you would be to look up the term Musikfest. That should be a good hint ^_^ 5000 people, 500+ concerts, and 2 weeks that end in a most pleasing fireworks display.
So because I have now derailed your thread, allow me to add another tangent - what's a favorite author you like and why?

Okay, not counting Homer, since he's actually more of a poet... Just kidding. My favorite author would be J.R.R. Tolkien, because, for some reason, there was never a book that I liked reading as much as Lord of the Rings. It's probably because of the detail with which he builds the world.

i've been a follower of terry brooks for some time. not all his stuff appeals but i quite like his overall genre.
running with the demon is my favourite book
i also quite like ORCS by stan nicholls although the other books he has written are really bad.
then there is Isaac Asimov and his robot short stories

In-game, I'm waiting for someone else to take the lead. If you all are fine with it, I'll spread out some lethal damage, try not to get enough to drop anyone, just soften them up a bit.
I'm a big fan of Terry Pratchett, he writes fantasy parodies, I've heard him compared to Douglas Adams but writing fantasy instead of sci-fi.
I also like The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, modern day urban fantasy type stuff.
Then there's Tamora Pierce, Diane Duane, Ray Bradbury, Starfist by David Sherman and Dan Cragg, the X-wing series by Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston, and Monster Hunter International by Larry Correia.
Lots of others that I have spaced out on as well, but I can't very well list those while I have forgotten them.
Cal, I'm rather untrusting of sporran. My friends that wear kilts have had bad experiences when they have too much in them and try to run. That is a bad location to have a weighted pendulum.
