Prob is if someone is standing at the top of the steps doing all the damage and getting healed as they do, what are the rest of us gonna do. We would like to post, at least I would like to. Just saying.....

What if we fall back and let them up.. that way we can get to more than just one at a time... I can switch to short swords and start throwing them from the other side of the room...
Kinda think the plug isn't gonna be a good idea with the 3 wiz dudes

ps.. gonna hold off on posting till we get a plan of attack.. We gotta protect Kerraur since he is armorless and has big booming spells and we gotta make sure Padre isn't getting beaten down since he seems to be light on armor too.

Here's an idea.. maybe Kerraur and Sirali fall back to L row somwhere, Dra'gen, Valandir, and Padre can fight defensive while falling back at 5 feet increments so we're not provoking AoO's. That'll draw them in, then if Kerraur has any goodies left, that will give him time to cast. As they are falling back Sirali can heal him and maybe Ryx can hide in the shadows and get up behind the baddies when they clear the stairs and we can use his sneak attack from behind and we get a flank bonus in the front.... Then if Kerraur casts we can all fall back double speed as his spell goes off....

I can't. I swapped out Grease during my rebuild. Was that because I did not play the AoO properly? It was involved, but mostly I removed it because it caused a hassle. And I cause way too many hassles as it is. If I web them, the spellcasters won't be able to see us, so ranged combat will be crippled, but it will blow my highest-level spell. If they're within 25 ft, I can instead try to cover the entire stairs with an Enlarged Burning Hands. I could cover 30 but that would cause an AoO and get nasty. It would require timing though. |

just had an idea, what is out light source? I'm assuming torches in sconces on the walls.
I just remembered Ryx found a flask of oil on the necromancer and guard downstairs. I suggest 2 or 3 characters grab torches from the sconces on the walls around east and south walls, Ryx throws the flask down the stairs, they throw the torches, get out the weenies and marshmallows. That also will give Ryx a better chance to hide in the shadows, without half the torches in the room should he need to.

Ilya, don't blow your highest level spell, you might yet still need it.
Ryx.. thats not a bad idea at all.. if there is a different light source, maybe Ilyas burning hands will ignite a nice slathering of oil....

Can Ilya use a flaming sphere or whatever the spell was or could someone just strike a tindertwig and toss it, or actually light a torch and throw it. Hell, Ryx has a couple of torches, he light on enext round and throw it

Ok. So far I have Ryxikor throwign the oil and missing (I will use your roll from your previous post). I can have Sirali light up the wall (Assuming she hits).
What about the rest of the heroes? There are no torch to throw.
Other than Puff, other should modify their post.
And Puff, sorry about missing your post about the source of the oil.
