Not wanting to draw any added attention, like a guard at the store's entryway, Ryxikor decides to move off a bit, but keeping a sharp eye on the door of the shop.
Ryx not needing the cloak, can fit his wide brimmed hat over his ears, to conceal the fact he is an elf, at first glance.
Then if there are any merchants close by wiling to buy various items, Ryx goes in and chats.

The employee faces turns white. "Are you talking about Wintas? Miss Warehorn has not been herself since her boy has disappeared."
He stops and looks at Dra'gen suspeciously. "Wait! You are not from here. How do you know about Wintas and his disappearance? Were you the ones who attacked him?"
As the employee raises his voice, the woman behind the counter looks toward the group "Who is talking about my Wintas? Have you find him?

The answer comes in the same quiet, careful voice. "Rumours travel quickly enough... I happened to be present while the guards were conducting their investigation, and the tragedy touched me." Kerraur replies. "A mother should not lose a son." He quickly turns his head. The movement is somewhat like that of one of the birds he so resembles. "Find him? No, milady, I am truly sorry. But if it may ease your pain," He bows slightly, "I will add my abilities to search to the attempts of the city's guard. As I said, it is difficult to think of something worse than a mother's grief. The only thing I ask for is some assistance... an answer or two, if thinking about it is not too heavy a burden."

Seeing the Raptoran doing a fine job of explaining to Wintas's mother about the investigation, Sirali hangs back watching the discussion going back and forth ready to jump in and aid if needed with exaggerated tales of the group's accomplishments to inspire the woman's confidence.

The employee listens to Kaelith and steps back “Oh ok. I understand” He quickly turns around, happy that Mrs Warehorn is intervening and looks for a customer to help.
Mrs. Warehorn moves from behind the counter and she truly is a massive woman. She looks at Kaelith. She groups notices the bag under the eyes and the circles around them, as if she spends her night crying and not sleeping. “The guards said he was dead. That he was eating by evil witches. I told them it could not be true as I would have sense it in my heart. I told my husband to not believe them but he has been in shock ever since they told us. He has not say a word since. I will tell you anything you want to know.
She stops and yells OUT! EVERYBODY OUT! THE SHOP IS CLOSED! The customers leaves the shop without saying a word and the employees gather in a corner. Padre sneaks in keeping Ryxikor outside as the rogue is busy shopping. Breathing heavily, she looks at the group and says in a cold voice “You better not be playing a joke on me or try to extract some gold from me. If this is the case, I will have your head on a spike. But if you truly are trying to help me find Wentas, I will forever be in your debt. ”
Sirali looks at the woman, and using her facial expression, she encourages the positive emotions about the group and discourages the negative ones.

It doesn't go unnoticed to Ryx when the patrons of the other shop get quickly ushered out. He figures he doesn't have long before he needs to get back to the others. He looks around to see the wares and looks for someone whom looks to be a proprietor, "Good afternoon."

"My lady!" Kerraur is offended, but allows just a little of that emotion to seep into his voice. "If I had wanted money, I would have asked for it. But as I said, all I want from you is a few answers, or someone else who can give them, if you prefer to not discuss the matter. Now... If you could, what is the last that is known of your son?"

Ryxikor sees a man behind the register who is well dressed. He has a large moustache and a little twitch on his left eyes. “Good Afternoon! How can I help you Sir?”
Both Dra’gen and Kaelith assure the woman that their intentions are noble. She looks at them then nods. She thinks the two men are truthful. Sirali stands back, nodding and smiling to support her group member claims. Padre stands there, playing with his holy symbol and analyzing the situation.
Mrs. Warehorn answers the raptoran question “It was 3 days ago. He told me to go home and relax and he would close the shop. He is such a wonderful son. He said that he would go out with his friend Tren, a farmer to celebrate the fact that they negotiated higher price for their grain from one of the ruling families. Neither of them never came back. It has been 3 days. When we went to the guards the following morning, they rounded the few inns and taverns left and did not find them. Then they came and told us they were taken by a group of witches who ….
Her face turns white and her throat get tight. She fights her emotions and continues “ they … killed and ate them …. But I do not believe it. I know in my body that he is alive …”
At this moment, Padre intervenes “Madam, I do not know what has happened to Wintas and if he is alive. All I can tell you is that the women they accused did not attack him nor ate him. They are innocent scapegoat.

Kerraur lets the woman pause. "Take your time..." He says. Padre's sudden interference causes the bird-like man to cringe slightly, and a tremor goes through his wings. "I will try not to trouble you with many more questions... but could you tell me, where they would go to celebrate, and where Tren lives?" Kerraur consciously feeds her hope by using the present tense. "Also," He beckons whoever holds their findings closer, "these may be of value..."

Ryx turns to the voice, "Well, I'm new in Jaspervik, been adventuring with companions and had a couple of things I might be interestd in selling." he says as he moves closer to the man and pulls out a vial containing a levitate potion made by the drow.
Ryxikor then looks to the man with a cocked eyebrow, "The short time we've been here, we've already heard nervous whispers of missing men." He feigns grief, trying to gain the man's trust, hoping he may extract information about the disappearances.

The woman cringes at Padre’s comments and looks at him but says nothing. She gives Kerraur directions to get to Tren’s parents farm. When the group shows her the piece of cloth they found in the woods, she turns white and finds a chair to sit on. “this, .. this is from Wintas’ tunic. I gave him for his birthday a couple of months ago.
A light of hope appears in her eyes “Where, where did you find it?
The merchant looks at the potion of levitation and offers 150 gold pieces for it. When Ryxikor asks him about the missing men, he replies “I just work here. I don’t pay attention to any rumors or gossip. It is not good for business to listen to them.”

Thinking the man is kind of rude, Ryxikor scoops up the vial putting it back in his backpack, "Ok, thanks for your time." is all he says as he exits the door.
Noticing Padre isn't standing by the door anymore, Ryxikor decides to check on the others, and tries to open the door to the merchant's store they are in.
