The goo had no influence on either the rocks or the remains of what was once metal. At first, the stuff appears to be mostly normal goo, as far as goo in weird caverns can be. But having it on your fingers for a while does cause an unpleasant, burning feeling, and the skin turns red under it. It might be smart to wipe the stuff off... and not get too much of it on clothes, because Taliea's trouser leg has lost a little of its thickness.
Oh, that's not fair. You spoiled the horrible, horrible surprise.

Taliea warns the others about the burning sensation, and the slight loss of thickness to her trousers, telling them not to get too much of the goo on themselves.
Oh, that's not fair. You spoiled the horrible, horrible surprise. Hahaha If no-one is interested in the sword, I guess we can just leave it? Not much point carry a bit of rusty metal around...

Source of light: Alyana casts light on her armor to avoid having Theo carrying a torch.
Alyana listens to Taliea's finding "I do not like this, not one bit. The stuff is corrosive. Let's get deeping in whatever that complex is, find the apprentice, either him or his remains and let's move out.
She is in full alert, looking around, trying to listen, trying to make sense of the current situation.

Theodorre walks with the others, listening intently and searching out every little crook and crevice for anything that could be threatning.

OOC: Ilya, Theo has some gold to spend, I had planned on buying some scrolls on their downtime between adventures, but we started this adventure in the middle of no-where. Do you mind if I buy a few? I'm not gonna add anything to my equipment list til I hear from ya. Thanks

A few tens of feet deeper into the dark corridor where something seems to be dripping right behind you all the time, the sound the Barbarian was referring to becomes crystal clear to everyone: something seems to be dragging a piece of metal across a rough surface. Suddenly, Theodorre feels something cold and liquid, as if a gigantic creature spat on him, hit his shoulder: a thick drop of goo has landed there. A few more steps go forth in dank silence, save for the continuing, scraping sound, and for a moment, both the elves' and the dwarf's eyes catch a glimpse of something large, buglike, and copper-coloured. It turns its ugly head towards the heroes, splattering drool in the quick motion, and darts off, further into the shadows. Something is thrown aside and clatters -it's obviously a piece of metal- into the same darkness in a disgusting fountain of yet more drool.

That's perfectly okay, as long as the spells aren't miraculously fitting for the next encounter. if you ever find yourself in a similar situation with me, claim you bought them while visiting the city in which your employer lived. And didn't I say I would make Listen and Spot checks? It's because I like to keep you people worrying. She-elf, did you somehow get the goo off? We wouldn't want to have any wardrobe malfunctions, would we? Well, some of us. Also. Roll for initiative.

Taliea realises the patch of goo she wiped onto her trousers has not stopped eroding the material. She quickly takes one of the bandages from her healer's kit and wipes the remaining goo onto the cloth. Hearing a splat and presumably a reaction from Theodorre, she removes a second bandage and proffers it to the wizard. "Here, umm. You might want to use this." Discarding the bandage she used, she continues following the others down further into the cavern. The Ranger draws her bow again and nocks an arrow, ready to attack the running creature.

Alyana tries to understand what is happening. A corrosive goo? A rusting piece of metal? Is that monster some kind of deviant metal-rusting monster? This is not good."
She raises her mace and shield, suddenly worried they will become useless. She moves to the side while shooting "Let's not stay grouped. A well placed fireball and we are all history

Barrend looks at the rusted sword, and then to his guisarme. He turns it around in his hands so that the wooden haft is more easily used for striking, instead of the metal blade. What confused him, however, was that the goo didn't seem to damage the blade. That meant that there were two corrosive substances, and he had no idea where either of them came from. He then moves cautiously ahead, keeping in front of the rest of the group so he can intercept anyone that tries to attack them.
initiative: 1d20+3=20I'm figuring that the guisarme haft could at least be used to deal nonlethal damage, if not work like a quarterstaff.

Could you tell me to what square you're moving? I'm figuring that the guisarme haft could at least be used to deal nonlethal damage, if not work like a quarterstaff. I suppose it could work as a one-sided quarterstaff, yes. I should warn you: this does sacrifice both the reach and the better damage die, since it has the effective striking capability of a quarterstaff and only one blunt wooden end. Additionally, you can't properly wield it because the blade is aimed at you, and while this is isn't as hindersome as trying to deal nonlethal damage (-2 to attack), you really don't want to roll a 1. REALLY not. That does sound reasonable, doesn't it? EDIT: He then moves cautiously ahead, keeping in front of the rest of the group so he can intercept anyone that tries to attack them. Same for this. Moves where?

Theodorre grunts when he is hit in the shoulder. Once he looks down to see the goo, he looks around and takes a step back, and to his left, squatting down in the corner to be a harder target to hit. He drops the wand into his magical haversack and snatches up a rock from the floor and begins scraping at the stuff, then finishes wiping it off with the bandage offered by the druid.

Let's say C11, should be far enough to figure out a bit more detail about the map in front of us, while still being close to allies.

Scouting ahead, the Barbarian quickly catches up to the creature, which is now facing him. It would look like a large, orange bug, about the size of a large wolf, if it had more than four legs. Two antennae sprout from its ugly head, and it stares at the dwarf while they twitch slightly. Its massive tail, ending with something that might look like a paddle, moves up and down. It is leaning back, as if scared, and can't take its black eyes off the Dwarf.
And there you have it. The first real encounter. This is going to be... spectacular.

Not feeling any adverse effects from the goo, Theodorre is confident he got anything dangerous off of himself. He moves up near the dwarf, Barrend, while he grabs a wand. Once he gets near the dwarf, Theo unleashes his own missile.
HP: 34 AC: 14 move action: 30' to D15, grab wand of melf's acid arrow. standard action: activate wand ooc: Theo is a half elf, not sure he can see that far, if he can't, he just grabs wand and moves to D15
