After the wizard begins sabotaging his lies, Kerzeme considers burning him (he hasn't forgotten the incident in the inn and is planning vengeance for it) to a pile of ashes, but for the time being leaves things like they are.

Theodorre, grinning about his joke, catches an evil look from Kerzeme,Hmph, one massive drunken stupor and your marred for life with this group. Theodorre thinks to himself of the night in the Burning Chalice, when he partied, partied and partied even more. The strange thing about that night, Theo could have sworn he got 'lucky', but not sure who with, and has tried to downplay that night ever since. The wizard lowers his gaze to the white powerdery snow, and slows his gate, to put some more distance between himself and Kerzeme.

Barrend walks over to Taliea, and asks quietly, "Can you tell what did it? Teeth, claws, swords?"
Seems like a knowledge nature check would tell her at least a bit about what creature the wounds came from. DM: Agree! Barendd gains +1 action point for laudable treamwork ;D

The group stand around in the cold some more.
The ranger has a better look at the gore and determines that something much larger than the blizzard bear tore them to shreds with massive claws or teeth. Maybe a dragon or some other huge critter.
The sherpas wait close by as they are too afraid to be on their own now and still believe Kerzeme's words.

"How long ago does it looks like this happened?" Barrend asks, looking for tracks of the beast, or places where the snow was disturbed by beating wings, and then trying to tell how long it has been since it happened, by the clarity of the marks.
survival: 1d20+8=10Well, that wasn't very good. Let's hope She-Elf rolls better.

Studying the marks further, Taliea comes to the realisation that something as terrible as a dragon may have struck down the Blizzard Bears. But the Ranger thinks it is best to keep this information from the apparently easily alarmed Sherpas, so in response to Barendd's question, she simply replies; "I don't know how long ago this happened," pointedly looking at the storm picking up she adds, "We can stand here all day and freeze while we look for clues or we can just get a move on. Whatever happened here, the sooner we move on, the sooner we're safe. What do you say?" The last addressed at everyone.

Alyana nods at her elven sister "Teliea is right. A storm is coming and it would be foolish of us to stay here trying to wonder who killed what. I say we move as fast as we can away for the storm and if the storm is faster than us, we look for shelter."
And she whispers to Theo "And please, in the comfort of the shelter, don't try to kiss any man in front of me please".
She turns towards Kerzeme and giggles and wink at the sorcerer.

Kerzeme gives Alyana a menacing look which grows even more menacing after it shifts to Theo, and wiggles his fingers like he does every time before magic in a silent threat.

Kurt grunts and agrees that the group should head to Icendia. The party begins to battle through the snow as the weather turns cold and inhospitable in the space of an hour.
Soon it is very hard to make out what is more than several yards ahead and the sherpas suggest that everyone ropes themselves together for safety.
Icendia isn't far away now, maybe a couple of hours trek
marching order? Feik and three sherpas at the front in a line, then the party then the rest of the sherpas behind.

At the suggestion, Taliea hurriedly removes a silk rope from her pack. She ropes herself in line behind Feik and passes the other end to whoever steps up behind her. Once everyone begins marching again, the ranger tries her best to keep her senses open to what is happening around them. She's aware that anything could be hiding in the storm and doesn't want to be caught off guard.

Kerzeme gets out his magical rope, and makes sure that he is the last of the group, with the party guarding his front and the rest of the sherpas covering his back.

Barrend steps up behind Taliea, making sure that he can remove the rope quickly if need be, but still won't get disconnected if something pulls on it.
