After a few moments a scream can be heard as the two pretty daughters of Jake run into the main room of the tavern. "What is it girls?" Jake asks in his deep voice.
"A monster was staring at us by the back door, with its big black eyes!" they both yell in unison as they point to the open back door of the tavern. Now other onlookers look towards the back of the large room to see what the commotion is about. Theodorre doesn't want to be the only one not knowing so he turns around, to see who he thinks is the stranger from the night before.

The girls' reaction galvanises the burly warrior and he picks up his longspear and strides in to the common area taking a seat next to the fop.
"Eggs, ham and bread if it's ready," asks the half-breed of the cowering serving girls.
The rogue looks nervously around, unable to shake the feeling that his past is catching up with him.

The two girls run into the kitchen and Jake runs around the bar, but comes to a sudden stop at the appearance of his customer. Most the patrons are still shook up at the site of the armed half orc walking in, until the proprietor assures them he is guest and has been paying for a couple days now. "His name is..." he starts to say until something stops him and he turns to the half breed, "Hey, Kurt, somebody was just asking for you. An elven priestess. She said her name was... uhh. Allana? Is that correct? She just walked out a minute ago. He d*mn near ran over her." Jake finishes pointing an accusing finger at Theo.
Theodorre looks up at Jake, innocense all over his face, pointing to himself as if asking, 'me?' then he jabs a thumb in Kurt's direction and barely whispers, "She was asking for him?" then more loudly, "Hey, that sounds good. I'll have the same, with juice. After taking their order Jake disappears in the back room, coming back shortly. About ten minutes late Maria appears from the kitchen, still visibly shaken, the plates drop with a clatter and spins a quarter turn as she delivers their meal in haste and hurriedly rushes away. Sitting before the pair are, plates of eggs and thick slabs of bacon with bisquits, and goat's milk and orange juice. The disheveled looking Theo wastes no time and digs in like he hasn't eaten in days.

Alyana opens the inn door violently, her flaming mace in position to strike "I heard trouble was brewing here!!!"
Before even Kurt can react, she runs toward the half-orc "You big oaf! I cannot believe you are alive. I thought these stroeid about a singing half-orc were false. I am so gald you are alive. I missed you so much."
She hugs the half-orc tight as if she does not want to let him go. Tears start flowing on her cheeks. "You were not the only one left for dead by Astar. As least you escaped untouched. I was not so lucky."
She stops talking, a big bal lforming in her throat. She hugs Kurt even tigher. "Now, you are not going anywhere without me big oaf. I missed you so so so much."
She finally let him go and sits next to him and starts picking at some of his breakfast. "So how did you escape the Sunless Citadel and what have you been up too?"

Kurt looks abashed over the reunion with Alyana. He take s amoment to compose himself.
"I would rather not speak of those dark days. They are behind me now although I savour the blood of my kobold foes greasing my spear as i slashed and punched their skulls like fragile eggshells."
sorry, i hadnt realised we actually were starting a game here. thought we were just 'goofing off' until we had a vote on whether people wanted another game with everyone taking turns as DM.
the combat scene was just to illustrate to my good pal Easy that combat can be easy without a map.
and i quite frankly have forgotten what happened to Kurt in sunless citadel. did he die? probably killed by the whims of the DM i reckon - lets say he was left for dead and crawled out of the dungeon on his own. i do remember fighting lots of kobolds and Achinca's last post reminded me that there was an eejit Astar the dwarf kicking about.

As the two get reunite and discuss the recent past, Theo finishes off his breakfast. The head of Koda, his weasel companion, poked outside the flap of his pouch resting comfortably.
"So we meet again Fair Lady. Ny name is Theodorre. I met your friend here last night. We were talking of taking a little trek, to see if the rumors of treasure around these parts is true. Would you care to join?" the (kinda) wild looking man asks. "I shall be back shortly." has says as he rises and approaches the bar. After talking to Jake for a minute, Jake disappears into the back kitchen and Theo disappears out the front door, only to reappear a few minutes later dressed for the outing. Wearing a cloak with a dagger on his belt, Theo looks as though he even combed his hair a bit. He sits down, noticing Kurt, with the help of Allyanna, has finishes his breakfast. "Are we ready to go?"

Alyana looks at Theo from heads to toe. "I do not remember meeting you. But if Kurt vouch for you, you are okay in my book. And if Kurt is going with you for a treasure, you can count me in. I will not let my favorite big oaf leave me anymore. Friends like him appear once in a lifetime. I am ready to go. but first I need to do something."
She grabs Kurt's head and smack a big smooch on the half-orc brutish lips. "Now, this is to give a taste of something you will be coming back for more." she says while giggling.
She gets up and is ready to go but stop. "Is 3 a little short of a number? I would feel more comfortable is someone else will be joining us. Do you know anyone in this team willing to have some adventures?" ((cue in for Ilya's character to join).
OOC: I am good with Level 6. I think we should have the character sheet the way Cal does it with all the info as a post rather than a link.

"If you don't mind, I would like to say something about that." A short human, with blond hair and a mustache, entered the conversation, coming closer with a colorful cloak, mainly in reds and purples, with a little gold, waving around him. His movements were lively, almost hurried. He quickly lifted what used to be a probably expensive and very fancy hat, but now sadly carried multiple rips and stains, marks of the elements or a careless owner. "My name is Kerzeme," All three E's in the name he introduces himself with are read short, like in 'then'. "Maitre Magicorum." As he pronounced this multilingual title, he gave a wave of his hand with rapidly moving fingers, as if to display what magic is. "I'm from Tysrock. You need not look further, I am very interested in what adventures, you can offer me and which rewards they promise to have. It's a pleasure to meat you all, by the way."
I'm done making my character.

Theodorre looks at the elven maidin with a perplexed expression, "My Lady, we just met at the doorway," he says pointing over his shoulder, "earlier this morning." Theo's feelings are hurt, but he won't show it, as he thinks how he must not have made a very good impression if she doesn't even remember him.
The man suddenly hops out of his chair, and leaps on top of it, yelling to the patrons of the tavern, "Excuse me, excuse me everyone!" Once most of the customers are looking up at him, "Me and my good friends here," he looks down towards Kurt and grimaces, "uh, this is Kurt, " once he quickly regains his composure he adds, "I've heard no-one has a singing voice such as his! And this lovely maidin is..." Theo looks a little red in the face as he leans down and whispers, "I'm sorry but you never told me your name." after a moment, "Ah yes, that's correct. It IS Allyanna." he says out loud, with the only responses being giggles from the women and men shaking their heads at the spectacle Theo seems to be.
Theodorre continues, looking the part of a herald, "We are on our way to see what exactly the truth is about the treasure we all hear so much about. Would anyone like to accompany us?" No-one says a word, finally after a couple long minutes, two people stand up. A short human and a much larger one, closer to the size of Jake. The shorter one , seems chatty and walks up to the group's table. The larger prospect stands in the corner of the large room, at the table the elves were at the night before. He doesn't say anything, just watches Theo, but his intentions are known, he is interested in going along on this trek. Theodorre spies a great battle axe, leaning against the wall behind him, along with a long bow. He definetly has the look of a veteran warrior.
Theodorre hops down from his perch, sitting back down to discuss things with the others, whispering, "Hmm, there's two interested takers. Which one do you feel comfortable with?" Theo asks Allyanna and Kurt.

Kurt watches the arrival of the conjuror with interest. The arcane arts were a mystery to him but he enjoyed the flamboyancy that surrounded him.
"Well met Kerzeme. I am Kurt Kr'bane, wanderer and journeyman."
The half-orc impassively listens to Theo's oratory and when he has a chance to make comment, "I am always seeking a way to test my mettle such that the halls of the afterlife will ring with the chorus of my exploits. Count on me to be part of this fellowship."
i am going to delete all my OOC posts in this thread to keep it tidy as Puff has suggested. i hope everyone else will do the same

Alyana looks at Kerzeme and wait for the big half-orc reaction. "My friend here trust easily because he can dispatch anyone who tries to fool him. I am a little less trustng but with Kurt by my side, I feel I can take on the world." She gives him a gentle punch ot the arms and make a face and move her hand in pain as the bard has felt nothing but the cleric seems to have nearly broken her hand.
After seeing Theo struts his stuff, she whisers to Kurt "What kind of a clown do we have here? He seem pompous but entertaining."

Theo winces as he hears he's being called a clown, still waiting to hear an answer from Alyanna on who she prefers for the trek, Brock or Kerzeme. As Kerzeme manuevors his dexterous fingers in an arcane manner, Theo wonders to himself if the newcomer was taught by someone or if he has raw talent. Theodorre waits for Alyanna to stop talking about him and answer the question, since two men are waiting to see if they will accompany us on the little quest.

Alyana looks at theo, Brock and Kerzeme. "Well, why should I choose? I say the more the merrier. Who knows what kind of horrors are waiting for us out there and we never have enough valiant and couragous heroes these days. Kurt do you agree?"
OOC: who would be playing Brock? I thought Kerzeme was Ilya's PC so he was in. OOC2: Clown was said in an affectionate way, not derogatory.

"Umm, well, we don't have to choose." Theo says with a shrug. Then he leans over to whisper before Brock gets to the table, "If there really is a treasure, just trying to keep the split to a smaller number." he adds with a wink. Standing up to address the group that has now formed, he continues, "Well, we've probably burned enough daylight already, we'll be needing to leave as soon as possible." "I'm ready." Brock interupts as he tosses a few silver and a couple copper pieces onto the bar, in front of Jake, to pay for his meal, and turns back to the group. The large brute shoulders his longbow and hefts his great axe, waiting for the others. "This is an equal split, correct?" his voice booms. "Oh yes, of course." Theo says as he shakes his head vigorously and then quickly continues, "Now as I was saying, I'm not sure how far it is, but I know the directions. It's gonna be a hike." The looks to the others to guage their readiness. Brock just stares at the group, seemingly impatient. "I'm ready too." Theo adds with a smile, just in case the others didn't know. When all are ready and prepared, and Kurt and Theo have paid for their breakfast. Theodorre talks with Jake for a moment, then the proprietor hands a bag over to the Theo. With a smile and a thanks, he turns to leave with his new adventuring companions. Jake then tells Theo, "Be careful in back, you may want to head down the road farther, before entering the woods." as he has a trail in back, leading to the woods and the ravine, as does each business and home on this side of the street. Suddenly you hear the large dogs out back barking as a reminder to them being back there. "OK" he says with a shrug, then turns back to the others, "Just a little something during the journey, like I said, it is a hike. And Jake makes the best, spiciest meats I've ever had." Theo says enthusiacticaly. Now that everyone is ready, they all gather their things and turn towards the door to leave. "Be back later, Jake." Theodorre turns back and says, with an 'ok' and shake of his head from Jake. As they walk though the doorway and leave the tavern, they all step down the steps out front and into the saturated streets. Water puddles and mud spots the roads everywhere, from the night before. Once Theo steps halfway down the steps, his heel catches the end of one and he falls right into the broad, muscle bound back of Kurt. Theo's arms flail only for a second as he grabs hold tightly to the half-orc, not wanting to fall face first into the nearby mud slick, "Oh, I'm so sorry Kurt." he says quickly and franticaly once he regains his balance, holding his hands up before him as if he might need to fend the half breed off. Words stumbling as bad as Theo, "I..it was the st..step, I think it's l..loose or something. Jake will have to fix that. Someone could get hurt." he says pointing to the steps now behind them. Turning to the others, Theo asks, "Ok, which way? There's a path behind the taven leading through the woods eventually to the ravine. Just like any building on this side, there's trails all through these woods. Or head down the road, out of town," he explains as he points to the road leading out. The Laughing Jackal, is right on the outskirts of town. "It'll take a bit longer, probably be closer to nightfall by the time we get there. The woods are quicker."
OOC: Well, honestly, I had a three paragraghs wrote out and had to go back to work. All about just Brock (another NPC), then about 4 hours later when I came back to finish and post it, before I posted it I re-logged back in to see if anybody had posted. Well look out people, Ilya posted, I had been asking for that for 4 days, lol. So I had to change my original post and add Ilya's char. thanks bud, glad to have you finally, officially in the game. ;D Oh, I'm going for the slightly eccentric, bumbling Theo, my inspiration for him is Inspector Clouseau of the Pink Panther Ok, what do you think so far? ? You know my writing style and stuff.

Axara smiles at Theo's nearly fall. "Good catch Kurt. You prevented our new friend here from becoming muddy and thus being a black mark to our immacualte group."
She giggles and then laughs out loud. "You are way too much Theo. I like your relaxed style. You are quite funny for a human."
"Regarding our destination, are the woods considered safe or not? I would rather start the search for the treasure at ful strength rather than having some random encounters in the woods that would delay us. But I will go with the group decision. Kurt? Kerzeme? Theo? What is your call?"
OOC: Puff, you are doing GREAT!!!!! And I really like Theo as a bumbling wizard! I think that one NPC per DM is enough.
