Round 4
Kurt, Kerzeme, Barrend, Alyanna, Taliea, orcs, Theo
The battle rages on. The group of heroes hear the clashes of weapons bounce and ricochet of the canyon walls. The half orc wielding and using the warhammer like no-one with orcish blood ever has been seen before. Strangely, though, Kurt leaves another injured orc behind to attack a different one. So he turns his back on the enemy, but for some reason the orc just stands there and stares at Kurt's exposed inviting back, and does not attack. Kurt swings the masterfully crafted warhammer at another foe, one near Barrend. Unfortunetly, with the sweat and bood on the handle of the mighty weapon, it slips out of his grasp only to land twenty feet away. (OOC: Cal, I dont understand how someone can take a 5' step, turn thier back to the enemy and they dont get an AoO, I guess thats a rule though. Also if a weapon attack at 19-20 is crit then in my book a 1 or 2 is crit too, just crit mistake, hehehehehhe)
The sorceror, Kerzeme raises his hand again, again three magickly formed balls of energy form and speed off towards their target. One of the orcs nearest the canyon wall, throwing javelins, gets hit with the magick missiles. They injure him badly, but he is still in the fight. Kerzeme still stands forty feet away from the fray.
Stepping away from your opponent before he is dead, must be contagious, Barrend does the same move as Kurt, stepping away from his opponent and turning his back. The orcs are dumbfounded, these heroes look like thier dancing with eachother, as Barrend turns around to face Kurt's old foe. But during his dance with Kurt, the dwarf notices something strange about the echoes, of their battle, bouncing off the canyons walls. For some reason, to Barrend, it sounds as though it wasn't their fight he hears, but a totally different fight. (OOC: Noda, you posted something for last round, if thats a missed post, sorry, not counting it. As for your actions and weapon, I really dont know what you and cal are doing leaving your opponent and turning your backs to them. I just dont see how that can not generate an AoO. But if its a rule ok. But unfortunetly, that means MY rules may be stricter. The guisarme, is hindering your attack. From my reading its useless against foes adjacent to you, isn't that basically in the square next to you? You have one orc in your face, Noda. Another orc next to him (to the right), which is in front of Cal, because now Cal is standing next to you.. To the left of the orc in front of you, is a boulder. Behind you is Alyanna, with two orcs in front of her, and a boulder to her right. Taliea is now coming into the action too, I just don't see how you can swing your weapon.
Swinging her mace beside Kurt, just like old times, brings a smile to the face of Alyanna. His return has brought high spirits to her and seems to be helping in her inner healing. To make her smile even broader, is the help of her hit on the orc attacking her. As he attacks low, he leaves an obvious opening and the elf takes full advantage. She comes down hard on the skul of the orc and drops him to his knees. He tumbles over to the side as dark crimson blood oozes out of his nose, mouth, and ears.
The half elven ranger, Taliea, jogs up to the barrier, drawing arrows as she does. Seeing no easy targets, she opts to fire at the lone orc, obviously returning from alerting ogres of their presence. She sticks all three arrows into the running orc's chest, killing him instantly, his momentum makes him fall face first into the hard ground.
The orcs cheer as they realize the ogres have entered the fray. They seem to be tough o' bastards anyway, no wait, Kurt is the bastard. They are indeed tougher than the normal orc, and these orcs all have a 'black hand' painted on the chest of their hides. As they retaliate, the two orcs closest to each canyon walls, farthest from each other, each hurl another javelin at Kerzeme. The sorceror's body jerks spasmadically, twice, when both javelins rip through his torso. One completely and cleanly going through and out to land into the ground with a thud. Kerzeme falls and lands on the ground in a kneeling position, he hesitates, then slowly falls over to the side, quiet. (OOC: d**n dude, i'm sorry, a 19 and a 20, the confirms were 5 and 1, i know that doesnt help much). When Kerzeme falls to the ground, the two orcs hoot and holler and grab falchions to help their falling comrades. The other orc to the right still fighting Alyanna, swings his rusty blade (OOC: omg, why can't my char's get rolls like these, a 20, no crit but -7hp) and connects hard, it's a devestating blow, but luckily not critical. The orc in front of Kurt attacks, and misses badly, he must be watching the deadly warhammer too much. The orc now behind Barrend, since the dwarf turned around, attacks, and oh, he barely misses. Two heavier javelins, obviously lofted by the ogres, coming flying in. One hits Alyanna, it hits her in the chest. She can tell immediately something is wrong, her lifeforce is slowly escaping. She feels woosy and dizzy, like the projectile may have hit an artery. However, her training and fighting instincts take over and fight off unconsciousness (a bad crit -19). The other javelin hits the orc that Alyanna was fighting and he falls dead to the ground.
Theodorre sits with is back to the boulder, gritting his teeth against the pain he knows is sure to come. He grabs both ends of the elven made arrow and again tries to snap an end off to pull it through, "Aaaggghhhh!!!!" he yells as he cannot break the arrow. He reaches into his pouch and pulls a flask free. The wizard pops the top and prepares to drink its contents, right after...... He grabs the arrow and yanks it through his leg, ripping muscle and tissue as he does. He holds back any sounds and immediately drinks his potion, hoping it effects can be felt quickly.
OOC: Omg, the rolls they got were crazy high. Haha, that sux, they got great rolls, mostly crits. To break the arrow theo rolled a 1, for his CLW he rolled a 1. ugh
Theo: -22 hp, +2 14/34
Alyanna: -47 hp, 3/50
Kurt: -22 hp, 31/53
Kerzeme: -32 hp, -7/25, and bleeding
Taliea: -8 hp, 36/44
Barrend: -4 hp, 68/72
Ok, how i see it:
4 orcs left, one bleeding.
The 1 bleeding is hurt from Kerzeme's last barrage of magic missiles and coming from the right to attack Alyanna next round.
The other 3 have not been hit, they are all on the left side. Kurt is facing them and Barrend has his back to them, Kurt and Barrend like nice dancing together.
The 2 ogres are now 30' away and closing.
Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
