Stadvas leans his back against the wall, and slowly sits down, burrying his fingers in the bloody clot that his hair has become. "Thanks." he finally mumbles after a few moments, which he spends trying to focus his sight on one point. "The name's Stadvas, by the way." Obviously, he's not in a good mood, and the beating has lowered his spirits. "Oh, and don't yell. I'll use you as a shield."

Before meeting the others at the intersection, Ryxikor quickly searches each of the guards. After a thorough search of the dead goblins for any kind of treasure or useful items, Ryx checks their weapons, keeping any daggers or javelins that seem in good enough shape.
"I'm Ryxikor." The excitable elf says to the warrior. "A female healer spoke of a small group of adventurers that we may find in here. I hope you could use our help. I feel sorry for her, Jukia I think was her name. She took quite a beating." A sorrowful look takes over his features as Ryx speaks of Jukia. But it disappears as quickly as it came. Having retrieved his dagger, Ryxikor takes a whetstone out and begins sharpening it and checks it's balance before replacing it back in the harness.
"So what's next? By the way, we may run into a goblin named Bronk, the guards kept yelling for him."

"Hey, im Brettnor, a bit young and inexperienced but im here aint I" Chuckling at his own humour Brettnor continues, " I hope all of you are well, so what is going on then" Looking around trying to check that there is not anymore goblins coming, for his first fight Brettnor feels proud of himself.
OOC nice fight all

Odlin is weary after the combat and his mind is racing. Hearing the elf talk of Jukia the wizard moves closer with a start and grits his teeth to keep his voice quiet "Jukia! You know Jukia! Is she okay? Was she hurt escaping this foul den?!" Then he remembers him self and thanks the cleric for the healing. "I am so grateful you turned up when you did... i think. the goblins were unwelcome visitors." Watching stadvas the dwarf nervously asks if the big man is okay, wary that his comrade's nerves are on edge. "You okay?"
Looking at the bodies he explains to the newcomers that Bronk is dead and maybe they should take the bodies and go to Bronk's room.
"It'll leave a rail so we better go somewhere else, like the old shrine to Moradin, to talk"
apologies but i will be AFK tomorrow as i am table-topping so no post from Odlin and a rather crappy one tonight as i have been working hard on an adventure. sorry!

"We met Bronk. He's worse off than me." Stadvas, struggling trough the pain and slowly winning that fight. Seconding the dwarf's question, he continues with a question. "Did Jukia arrive all right?" Then, he answers his friend. "Like I said, Bronk is worse off." Then, leaning on the wall, he stand back up, and prepares to follow the others, where-ever they go.
Enjoy the adventure, Cal. And it's not that crappy.

Augustine checks to see if any of his missed arrows are still intact, and retrieves them if they are. He pauses when he hears that Jukia was hurt, and asks, "How? I thought she went out the way we had cleared out, she should have been fine."

Ryxikor retrieves his dagger and inspects th3 4 dead goblins. They do not carry any treasures other than javelins (2 each). Unfortunately, these javelins are for small size creatures.
Augustine looks for salvageable arrows. All the one that hit their targets are done for and only half of the ones that missed can be used.
The group carries the bodies into Bronk room which is now even smellier than ever before, then retreat into Moradin old shrine.
Augustine, Odlin and Stadvas learned of what has happened to Jukia. Although she is now in "jail", Ryxikor reminds them that Zlak has promised to hold her trial after the goblin situation is resolved. He tells them that the Inn matron, seemed to have positive feelings toward the woman cleric.
The group is now wondering their next move? Will they go through the secret doors where they heard children voices? Will they try to go through the closed wooden doors? Will then keep going in the lair and deal with the dragon?
OOC: Cal, your "crappy" post are better than the best posts of a lot of player I know!

Stadvas listens to the story with rising irritation. "Wait... She helped save the village and they lock her up?" He blinks a few times very rapidly while the new information settles in his injured head. Then, the tall warrior reaches a decision. "I think we should go back and get her out, and see if we're still interested in helping the village afterwards." Obviously, the serious beating and the imprisonment of his friend have brought anger.

"Yeah that old coot named Zlak smacked her a couple of times and when she fell to the ground, he stomped on her throat. He wouldn't heal any of her wounds, even the ones from this place." Ryxikore explains. "I'm sure he isn't going to harm her right away, he said something about til the goblin situation is resolved. They're keeping her at the Inn cellar."
After waiting long enough, Ryx asks the other group members, "Well, whats next?" The excitable elf starts to head to the door north of the intersection, and searches the door and doorframe for any sign of traps, if so he tries to disarm them. He then checks to see if the door is locked., if so he tries to unlock it.

Emotions casacde through Odlin like a fiery waterfall even cauing tiny orange flecks of magic to spark from his fingertips.
His face turns redder and he barely manages to control his apoplectic rage. He throws looks a Stadvas and Augustine, reassured that they appear to feel the same way.
"Ridiculous! Are we working against or for monsters?! They will feel our wrath"
Settling back down he controls himself with an effort.
"We're going back alright. But it seems we have two evils to right. We shouldn't let the dragon gain a foothold. From what i know of these wyrms, they steadily expand their influence until tyranny descends like a pall around the whole countryside. It has to be stopped for the sake of stopping it.
Then we're going to go back and perhaps bring our Rule of Law to these backwater hicks. The dragon's lair may have treasures that will aid us in our fight"
playing with my head and not my heart here - this is still a game and the official adventure plot is to duff up the dragon. But hopefully Achinca will write us up a rescue Jukia adventure afterwards?

Augustine, Stadvas and Odlin are appalled when they heard the treatment Jukia received from Zlak. His behavior is quite different from the quiet man who hired them originally. Although their first instinct is to go rescue their former comrade, the 3 adventurers listen to Ryxikor pointing to the fact that Zlak said that Jukia trial will wait until the goblin situation is solved. The group goes back to the locked wooden doors and this time, Ryxikor skills do the trick. The lock is not good enough to resist the rogue lock picking skills. The doors open on a room that appears to be empty. A beat-up cauldron hangs over a fire pit in the southwest corner of the room and the smell of a slow simmering stew fills the air. Water drips from a decrepit pipe in the west wall into an ancient stone cistern. A long crude wooden table and several stools occupy the center of the room. Sacks of grain and piles of fur and leather fill the northeast corner of the room. Door in the north and west wall might lead deeper into the complex.
There is space to go between the table and cistern and table and pot but the square costs you 10 feet instead of 5.
OOC: Cal, right call to finish the adventure. Jukia and Zlak (who are not in the published adventure) are a side quest while we decide where to go after you take care of the goblin issue.

Smelling the stew Brettnors stomach starts to rumble, "shall we have some food" he wispers to Odlin, even tho Brettnor is new to adventuring he knows to listen to others for advice, Looking in the room Brettnor just hopes he can have some food.
"So which way then guys the door to the north or door to the west, I reckon we should open each door and see what we find"Hoping that his input may be heard.
OOC So which way are we going then guys

The stumpy wizard picks up his familiar and they both guard the door they came in. The stew makes his stomach churns but his thoughts about the meat keep his mouth dry.
very rude of me to sound like im complaining but my tired eyes have trouble picking out the doors on the map. makes aesthetic sense to make them dark brown in colour like wood but they dont stand out from the walls. can they be thicker or a lurid ghastly non-door colour please?

Ryxikor moves north to check out the sacks, furs and leather, while Brettnor checks on the stew, "Hmm, a good meal would be nice. How does it taste, Brettnor?" The elf asks as he glances towards the human cleric. Ryx then continues rummaging through the things in the northeast corner.
Once finished, the young elf stands before the northmost door. He puts his ear to it to see if he can hear anything. He then carefully checks for any traps. Satisfied there are none, if the door is locked Ryx gets his small pouch out containing his small picks, and tries to pick the lock.

Augustine tilts his head towards the western door, asking "Should we check this room? I don't think there is anything special there, since it can't be very far until it hits the shaman's room, but I would still prefer to clear it out."
He thinks that he would have used the goblin threat as leverage with the villagers given a choice, but he follows the lead of the rest of the group.
